Halo: Reach LEGENDARY Edition normal price now £90.47 then £76.89 USING 15% Off Code. FTSL15-1, Don't Forget extra 8% Cash Back Via Quidco making it £70.74! Bargain! (Please Note FTSL15-1 Code expires on 31st August)

You won't get the recon helmet pre-order order code as i've emailed them and they said they aren't running that promotion but it is the cheapest i've seen (Vs Send.to.net @ £89.99)
EDIT: Dont Vote Cold if you think the PRODUCT isnt worth the money, remember you should voting on how good the DEAL is. £20-£25 Saving is a Big discount.

This is my first ever post, i hope it helps. I emailed Tesco at the beginning of the week complaining of the price, hopefully it helped the pricing drop.

RRP: £99.99

Yes its a 1 use code but if you open a new account then it works, the code ends on the 31st August for the heads up. The promo codes are listed on quidco so they are authorised to be used with the cashback.

£90 for a game???? Does it come with a free xbox?
#3
Hot, Hot, Hot. I've jumped in on this one. I'll leave my shopto.net pre-order going until the last minute & then cancel if they don't change the price.

The £5 pre-order game code does not work as I used another new email address to order. Only the 15% off code works, but still what a price!

don't think deal prices like this including quidco are allowed, as quidco doesnt always track
and i'd say most people have used the 15% code by now (it's a 1 use code)

but good deal for the select few who do get it as this price

Thanks for the advice i have amended the price to not include Quidco. Still an excellent price!

I think also editing the title to say 'Halo Reach Legendary Edition £76.89 @ Tesco entertainment'
might help people to find the post/deal, maybe.

Hmmmm.... So its £14 cheaper than the previous best..... but doesnt come complete wirthout the recon helmet. (Havent a clue what thats all about - but my littlun who wants to buy it just turned his nose up at this!.

Good price though OP... heat added

It's a helmet variant that everyone wanted a few years, here is a good link to explain: http://www.xboxic.com/news/6093

I've seen a few people mention on this site mentioning that they imagine that it may be available to buy via eBay for a couple of quid, but obviously no promises. I would like the Recon helmet DLC too, I'm just trying to save myself some money.

Ah my guess was a good one that they'd bring the price down, got to say I'm surprised just how much they did though! Now I've sent an e-mail to them tho because since I've already placed my pre-order I'm not sure if the price promice means I'll still get the 15% discount off the new price or if I'll just get charged the new price without any discount. Anyone got any ideas? Maybe it will just be safest to cancel that order and create a new account to re-preorder it...

Keep us updated with that as i'm sure many people are in the same boat. However i had an email today saying they've guarenteed it won't be more than the £90.47 (the advisor wasnt aware i've used the 15% Code) Email says that i wont need to cancel as the price will be calculated when they dispatch so this includes any promo codes. Hope this helps...

No probs. IMO it's a great first post / deal, it should have more heat than this really.

Just used, nice one op, much better than the shopto preorder I've just cancelled!
#14
oh, and I think the code expires today - be quick!
#15
So tempted for this. While I want this a lot I just cant justify this amount of money on a game.
I am hoping that it will go like the Halo 3 Helmet edition. After a few months a high amount of stock priced to clear at £40.

The 15% code? According to Quidco it expires on August 31st.

It's more limited than the halo 3 legendary edition, it's already sold out on the game group websites. Also the RRP of the halo 3 one was about £70 wasnt it? The RRP of this one is £100 so if the same amount gets knocked off that still makes it £70. The price probably isn't going to get much better than this. However it's down to the individual to decide whether its worth it or not. I'm ok with it at £70 after the Quidco, I certainly couldn't justify it at the previous best of £90. The statue just doesnt look worth £50 more. £30 more for it and the other small extras over the Limited Edition I can live with. :)

Didn't know about stock levels on this one. After seeing everywhere saying sold out for Halo 3 LE only to have loads 3 months later I just expected/hoped for the same here.

does anyone know when they take payment for preorders is it the day they ship it to you or is when you place your order?

They take the money on dispatch according to the email i got from them last week.

Well, I finally got a reply today which is as follows:

"Thank you for your email.

I have looked into this matter and can confirm that you will receive the discount of the new cheaper price.

I do hope this helps."

So I'm not sure I'm any the wiser, I don't know if that "discount of the new cheaper price" means I'll get the new price or iff of is meant to be off and I'll get it with 15% discount. Guess another e-mail it is then, though given how long it took for this reply it's getting a bit frustrating...

Just a note, some people who have pre-ordered the regular version of Reach using a debit card were finding that tescos hold the funds when you place the order. They dont debit the funds to them on order, just hold it from your account until they have the item at which time they will take the held funds. But while they are held they are not available to you. So it's near enough like paying for it on order but I assume it means cancelling means the funds would just be released rather than having to be refunded.

"The email was meant to read "you will receive the discount off the new cheaper price"."

w00t! Confirmation! Legendary edition for cheaps without having to re-order. So for anyone who had already pre-ordered the Legendary edition from tesco with the 15% code before the price drop you will still get the discount off the new price, giving the price in this deal post.

Thats great! I doubt many people preordered from Tesco Entertainment as it was £128.97! But for those that did its a good result.

Just a heads up guys. It's selling out everywhere, so get in quick with Tesco's if you can. Fantastic price! Boiling hot! Does anyone know how reliable they will be to honor both the pre order (will it arrive, and on time?) and the price (will they be happy with the discount on a pre order?). I have a pre order with GAME but don't wanna cancel it just in case something goes wrong with Tesco.

You never know, maybe there were a few others who had the same hunch I did about them dropping the price. But then, I would have waited until it actually dropped too if I hadn't thought the 15% code was going to end on 31st of July rather than 31st August as it turned out.

I've read a few people on here saying they got red dead on the day and others but I don't know for certain what they're like. A bunch of stuff I ordered from them not so long ago arrived 2 days after I placed the order though if that helps. As for the discount, based on the e-mail reply I got (a couple of posts above) they said I'd get the discount off the new price so I don't think they'd go back on it.

There isn't another price even close. People probably just look at it, think "£77 for a game?!" and vote cold. Either that or vote cold just because they don't like halo. Not really the idea of this site is it....

Edit: Right on cue, before I even posted my reply someone has already proven my point.

Thanks for the advice Drago. I think I'll defo cancel my GAME order then. Thumbs up to you.

Cold voters haven't a clue. In theory, your saving £48 because they are selling out at most places and some have sold for £125 on ebay!

If the RRP is £100 then this is a prime hotukdeal without question. Well done on making the hot list OP!

Completely agree. Eww, agreeing with a Swansea fan, whatever next. :O

There seems to be a crazy new trend for expensive special editions. There is a £150 one for Gran Turismo 5, as far as I can tell that has a toy car, wallet and some books. Oh and some in game content... Also a £130 one for the next call of duty.

Madness, but I guess there's a market for it.

Anyway, not that I'll vote cold or anything, its a good deal if you want this.

Then dont buy this version of the game...

It used to be cool to buy collectors editions of games when they used to give you good extras for just £5-£10 more. Now you buy a collectors edition of a game, you look like the chump the marketing execs are targeting.

That and the elite armour set from the Limited Edition. Everything you get in the Limited Edition you also get in the Legendary one. Other than that you also get the Noble team statue and the swanky box.

I agree its a bit nuts how expensive these editions are considering whats actually in them. I wasn't willing to shell out the £100 RRP of this Reach Legendary Edition but at £70 after Quidco that seemed about right.

That Gran Tourismo one seems to be the worst so far, theres lots of small things in it but unless that USB stick is some stupidly large size I can't see why anyone would think its worth £150. £100 would probably be pushing it for whats in that!
