Buying an old model second hand xbox is asking for trouble. Cold to save 40+% of people returns.

Were these falcon or jasper models?

These were the codenames of the motherboards that were in the xbox. The jaspers were the latest board and had a cooler running processor and graphics chip. They were also less prone to RROD.

As Moneyeyes said theyre neither. They were Zephyr v2 boards.

Would have bought this but Am currently running a MW2 limited edition, regards of the motherboard but you get a years warranty so great value.

These have HDMI if that helps the whole Jasper/Falcon thang. Bought one from Gamestation when they released. Red ring'd 6 months later with little-moderate use on a well ventilated HiFi rack.

    HOT! As in RROD hot.

    I would suggest avoid.

good price if you like that sort of think - personally if i needed to buy a new box now i'd consider - cheapest possible with a yr g'tee then next gen will be here

thats good for you, but these aren't worth bothering with

made in 2007 so easily 4 years old, if it hasn't red ringed before expect it to

4 year old console still running on the same thermal paste from factory, you might aswell be using pizza sauce as it's gonna cook that gpu

spend the extra £30-40 and get a used slim

Probably a good buy for our needs. My son's four year old chunky xbox got the RROD a couple of days ago. I've looked into sending it away to microsoft for repair and that's going to cost me £70. I can't afford a new one, so although this will have used parts rather than new (if i had ours repaired) i guess i comes with a warranty from Game.....

I've bought 3 or 4 of these from game and they tend to be Microsoft refurbs and so rrod is less an issue. You also have a year guarantee. Best thing about them being old is they are easy to hack! ;-)

It'll hopefully tide you over for now and see you through to the next generation (which may or may not be around 15 months from now). The 12 month store guarantee is what elevates this deal from cold to hot.

    Fugly though.

    Heat added.

    daft questions

If i buy this and it develops a fault, do they replace it or repair it. my point is i doubt they would have the halo console in a years time, so would they replace with another model??

also, i already have a 360 upstairs in the bedroom, could i buy this plug it in downstairs (frontroom) and use both consoles on the same gamertag account
