Ok, so it may not be HAMA, but the poundland one is what it says, £1, and as to not being worth it then personally i think you're mistaken. I bought one and it works perfectly well. Nice and stable and takes the weight of my heavy waterproof digital camera just fine.

So why spend £6 when you can spend £5 less on something just as good?

the legs wouldn't extend on mine, then the leg fell off lol it was a very light camera i wanted it for but it just wouldn't hold.

Perhaps you should have tried it in the store before buying it like i did, to be sure the legs would extend;-)
