The 63 is slightly heavier-duty than the 62 and 61. They have the same features, but the 63 is more heavy-set.

Prior to this thread being amended to a lower price, the deal had already been submitted at the new price

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hama-star-62-tripod-with-free-carry-case-now-13-79-delivered-amazon/902437#post10888745

so thanks to both members but the other deal is the first listing of the new price.

i have this tripod but id not recommend it for quality digital slr cameras with large lenses.the tripod is ok for the money and you get what you pay for.perfectly adequate for small to medium sized compact cameras and light weight camcorders.
#14
I prefer to spend more for quality. Especially if you're going to put a pricy slr camera on the top of it.

You'll notice how cheap tripods rarely quote the maximum load weight - one of the most important factors !

We talking 5DMKII with 70-200 f2.8 lens here or XXXD series with a basic telephoto lens? Max supported weight is 3.5kg for the 62 and 4kg for the 63....whether is actually stable or not on a windy day is another question..

This is entirely the point of having the hook (as seen in the photo) on the base of the tripod, so you can hang anything weighty from it to stabilise it.
