Will Smith stars as Hancock - a edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood guy whose well-intentioned heroics, might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough - as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think - until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all.

Now that price online too! Not sure whether to get the blu-ray version though, although some not so great reviews of this film.

from about £11 to £5 in a couple of days :w00t: I knew it wouldnt be long before it dropped to a fiver once it dropped to £7.99 but didnt expect it to be this quick.

If you have seen it and you know you like it then £5 is a good price. But even at £5 I wouldn't take a punt on it if you haven't seen it, it's really not a very good film.

If you don't wanna take my word for it, it got 39% at Rotten Tomatoes
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/hancock/

Metacritic worked out the average was the better though still rubbish 49%

My friends and I enjoyed it up until it stopped being funny. £5 for such a recent movie is great though.

one disc or two disc edition?

Just ordered online, they do have stock! I love this film, its not the norm!
#12
Yeah, I was able to order in the end. They obviously updated the site.

I enjoyed the movie when I saw it, but the way it completely changes storyline half way through is weird. They could easily have made it into two movies. Probably knew they couldn't afford Will Smith for a sequel.

I loved this movie, think it's one of the most underrated titles for years - way up the top of my favourite comic book movies.

It was much better than the trailer suggested it would be - "drunk superhero does stupid stuff" can only sell for so long - and the "second half" of the film was much more serious and well made than I was expecting.

It's a steal at a fiver, anyway.

(although, that said, I'm *the guy* that liked Daredevil :-D)

I hear ya!

Was looking forward to it as well but ultimately it didn't deliver - and it was pretty obvious where the story was going from the get go...:whistling:

Just been into Asda Sportcity Manchester. The single disc version is marked up at £13.78 (i think)

No where did it have a £5 sticker on it, or in the £5 sections.
Didn't bother getting it priced checked because no-one was around!

Woulda got it if it was a 5er...

You should've said to them that you saw it on HUKD for a fiver:p

Seriously though. They are advertising it in the national press at this price so Sportcity Manchester are clearly not reading instructions about prices from head office or something.
It was in yesterdays Sun newspaper.
