There are heroes... There are superheroes... And then there's... Hancock.

Will Smith stars as Hancock - a edgy, conflicted, sarcastic, and misunderstood guy whose well-intentioned heroics, might get the job done and save countless lives, but always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake. The public has finally had enough - as grateful as they are to have their local hero, the good citizens of Los Angeles are wondering what they ever did to deserve this guy. Hancock isn't the kind of man who cares what other people think - until the day that he saves the life of PR executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), and the sardonic superhero begins to realize that he may have a vulnerable side after all.

This might not be Will Smith at his best but just about every other film i have seen him in i have enjoyed. He is a great actor in my opinion.

The likes of Pursuit Of Happiness, Independance Day, Ali and I Robot spring to mind plus more. They are all great acting performances by Will Smith.

Independence Day? Are you serious?

i found I Robot watchable but meh

haven't seen Pursuit Of Happiness or Ali

All i can say is thank god Will Smith turned down the part of Neo in The Matrix, he would have ruined that film

Yeah I got this cheap in the end of Woolies sale and yes .. it is stupendously stupid .. great concept .. not that badly acted etc and great CGI effects ... just an INCREDIBLY stupid storyline with the most unlikely twist ever ... buy ... view .... eBay.... Cheers!

Yeah this film is rubbish and I only managed about 30mins before turning it off tbh.
I must admit I too was starting to lose respect for Will Smith as a decent Pro actor, but luckily I had the pleasure to watch him in the superb Seven Pounds (2008) where he simply was stunning. Fantastic film that I challenge you too watch without shedding a tear!!

I don't really get the hatred of Will Smith films? This was great? Kind of a mix of X Men and an M Night Shyamalan film.. 7 Pounds was recommended to me and I loved it
