Been available at Clove for a little while too. Couple of quid more but I'd rather deal with them than Handtec. Wouldn't personally buy an LG for more than £300 again - always feel a bit robbed a couple of months later when they have dropped by £200!

If you are an early adopter, yes you can get robbed. On the other hand, wait a few months and get £200 off and a flagship for only £300. What's not to like?

On the other side of the fence, those iOS people are still having to pay £600 retail even 6 months after release, (and that's only for the 16GB version without expandable storage!)

I'm one of those iOS people I'm afraid. I've just paid £439 in Game for an iPhone 6 Plus - a 16 month old phone - because the apps, services, software support and updates, as well as integration with my MacBook, add value to it beyond mere specifications. I do like Android but always feel like I'm fighting a losing battle to keep up with constant new hardware, and gradually every member of my family seems to be getting iPhones too! I also value wifi calling on EE too, and the only SIM free phone that supports it is the iPhone for some annoying reason.

I'm the same with Sony. releasing a flagship phone emery 6 months means my 2 year old. Z1 is not worth a lot.

Nice phone but prettt laggy with the Snapdragon 808 and runs quite hot. Cameras ok but not the best.
Do you have one? Moto x style lags?
It's got heavy thermal throttling. The maximum CPU lowers pretty quickly after using it for a while due to thermal throttling. The 810 Is even worse. Qualcomm have messed up with the 808 and 810. This generation the Exynos is much more thermally efficient (although the bloatware on the Samsung phones causes it's own problems).
Yes but do you have one? Have you experienced this "lag" yourself? Throttling doesn't mean it throttles to unusable levels, it may just throttle from a high frequency to a slightly lower one. The 808 doesn't throttle much if at all according to my research.

I used a piece of sellotape once to lift a fingerprint off a glass to then unlock an iPhone 5s successfully. Not sure these fingerprint scanners are all they're cracked up to be. I'll stick to my pattern or code lock for now.

this is what i was affraid of and it seemed more of a gimmick however it does seem a good idea to authenticate with a finger print for android pay.

I might hang on till the end of the month and see if these drop further

If it's as slow as LG G Flex 2 i would stay away.
Before posting such a poor comment try Google and read up about the phone.
This is a phone that is direct competition for the Samsung S^ and a lot cheaper.http://www.androidcentral.com/editors-desk-excitement-within opinion that really counts.
Its not cheaper.

Really ?

Where can you get an S6 for £521 or less ?

I got an S6 brand new off ebay for 460. Not that that counts I guess but yeah I agree this is a good price for this phone with excellent hardware by the sounds of things. No issues like with the Flex 2.

Buy the LG G3 for £250 brand new on Amazon or you can find it for £200 second hand. S6 and LG G4 are much more expensive and not much better to justify paying double the price.

And be careful not to put it in the wrong way around... I did it as a "I wonder what happens" and it instantly drained the battery to 0% and had to recharge via USB as the magnetic port wouldn't work anymore. Luckily I'd just purchased the phone so just returned with faulty magnetic charger.. I then accidentally put my replacement on my magnetic car charger/mount and it reacted differently.. turned off but then came on and was fine after.. Just a wise warning about making sure it's in the right way :-)

If you look carefully at the handset you'll notice that the socket is configured to take the plug only one way. Unless you got a very poor copy, chances are slim that you'll plug it in incorrectly.

I have a couple of cheap ones and agree pins aren't as offset as they should be and it's a cheap one that killed 1 phone. but the other is a NXET car charging dock mount and didn't damage the phone but still shorted and caused phone to go off and its a £20 dock. I do recommend them, just a shame it wasn't made to not short out if connected the wrong way..
bouncy99
I bought one of ebay for about £2.50 which was much better than the official and over priced sony one.

Some of these gadgets can seriously affect your phone !

Be warned these are pretty weak the magnet doesn't hold very well even when it's on the side table and so doesn't charge well. Better off buying the official magnetic charge dock, can be had for about £20.

I don't think its over priced at all, Yes its not cheap but when you're spending £350-£500 on a Phone, surely £15-£20 on a charging dock isn't going to hurt?

Yes, when you consider what you're spending on the phone its probably not a massive amount extra, and also when you look at other phone accessories its priced similar to other stuff, but when you look at what it really is and what it would cost to manufacture its kinda crazy. But hey, we tend to accept these prices for phone accessories for some reason, people will happily pay £20 for a mobile phone case which is a bit of moulded plastic that probably costs about 20 pence to make.

These are under 7 quid on ebay. 3rd party, but looks and works exactly the same.

How do you know of it works the same? I've several third party chargers off ebay (apple connection and micro usb) all have been crap from China that looks the part but don't perform nowhere near like the official chargers.

Have seen some people say that simply turning their device off and on again can help. Also, some saying a restore can help.

I don't think there is any issues with lollipop, I think it is certain apps causing the issues people are having. It's too random the issues some people are having and others, with the same device, are seeing performance improvements. Has to be something beyond the Lollipop Android OS.

If you're having big problems, I think you should try restoring the device and seeing how it runs with no extra installed apps. If it is running fine, then start adding your apps back on again, one by one, and see how it goes. If you start getting performance issues, then it's likely to have been a recently installed app.

I still run a Nexus 4 and I think it's the longest I've owned any smart phone. Struggling to find any reason to upgrade (other than the lack of capacity - 8GB sucks) as the performance is still excellent. It absolutely flies and handles the latest Android as if it were developed for it.

Great handset. Can't say the same for my 2012 Nexus 7 though.. what a piece of crap!

thanks for this comment, i think I might go for one

as for the nexus 7 2012, same. I just a full reboot and factory reset and so far it seems to be ok!

I just did a full restore on my 2012 to put Lollipop on it, and was immediately mortified at how crap it was. The performance of the Nexus 4 blows it out of the water!

I haven't got a nexus 4 to compare it to (unfortunately) and im sure it is much better than the old nexus 7. i did find my nexus 7 has been better since i did the old factory reset though

ordered mine from MobileFun, uk version, fantastic watch and so much nicer in person than in pictures.

buyers need to be aware that Android Wear devices are very much a W.I.P., wear 2.0 will bring lots of changes and improvements and thats when these things will start to come alive, as it is now its so cool to be able to see and respond to my notifications and to get traffic updates on my wrist.

Great watch - but I'd wait a bit until more "mainstream" shops get it - just in case you need to exchange it, return it, etc. A lot of money to risk on something that may not work out - they're still gen 1.

You have to open a fiddly flap to charge it :( (Will definitely be investing in a charging dock which negates this)

i've bought 6 (i dont know why) magnetic USB cables (USB cable version of the dock). I also bought an official Sony dock from Amazon for £23. DONT BOTHER.

its tiny and doesnt come with a mains adaptor, so you still have to use the charger that came with the phone. Definitely not worth £23! They are on eBay (copies) for about £5.

the magnetic USB cable thingy are on eBay as £1.80 ea or best offer, they accepted £1.50 each.

Is the cable from china?

i bought 3 from the UK, £2.80 posted each and 3 from China at £1.50 posted each

ones from UK have arrived, all work fine.

Has anyone received the Roxfit Case and Car Charger yet? I'm reluctant to use mine until the case arrives!
