Is this a good spec for the money?

The Hannspree brand won many friends with their original 10.1" dual core tablet in the early days of android tablets. This recently released version is clearly intended to fill the niche of an affordable but half decent 10.1" screen android tablet. Can't knock the quad core CPU but the rest of the spec, especially the screen res , is all a bit ho hum. From what I can tell from the few user reviews posted in the states, build quality is more than acceptable, as is the performance doing the basic activities of surfing, video, emails etc. Handy extras such as HDMI out, microsd card expansion, two year warranry and a stand are all included.

So, if you really want a large screen tablet but cannot and/or don't wish to, stretch your wallet to a premium android tablet, then it looks a decent bet. Similar money will get you a 7" tablet with better specs. You pays your money.... Gets a hot from me.

    UPDATE:
FYI, the Hannspree comes with a free slipcase cover as well. Can see it on the 20 min naff idealworld.tv promo video feature.

It's got a large attention span, whatever that means!

I recently bought the hannspree handspan from eBuyer. Returned in as thought the screen was grainy. This machine has a far better processor but if the screen is poor, doesn't matter how good the brains are!

I have the dual core hannspad from a few years ago and it is still working great although it's running with a 4.0.4 custom rom. I do have to recommend hannspree upon my personal experience.

Forgot to mention, no disrespect to this deal but my personal choice for a cheap large screen tablet is the 9" Nook HD+. The 16GB version was £129 at argos last time i looked. Only dual core cpu but a killer full HD res screen. No camera or gps though. Borrowed one for a few weeks and was well impressed. Much nicer to hold in portrait mode than the 10.1" letterbox format IMHO.

Agree, I have one, and you can get £30 off with Very or Isme with codes and setting up credit account. It does lack HDMI also, unless you spend $40 importing from the USA!

LMFAO Whoever did the write up clearly knows nothing about technology.

"This large attention span allows you to run applications if all types without slowing down."

Since when did tablet specs include an attention span lol this is to funny.

I also considered this one, but I went and got the nook hd+ for my son and from John Lewis it also comes with a 2 year guarentee as this one has too, Only thing that puts some off is that it doesn't have a camera, hdmi and micro usb port, apart from that the screen res is great.
