Hi guys i just received my hannspree xv 32 lcd tv on wednesday, its a nice looking set well build and sturdy.Ok now for my mini review,i set up xbox 360 via component it looks very nice,720p and 1080i look spot on, HD DVD films look good also but its not better than my 37 inch atec which resides in my living room, now one of the main reasons i bought this TV was for pc and xbox 360 use,now here comes some problems firstly this lcd wont support 360 over vga which am pretty annoyed at, i tryed for about 20 mins trying to figure the dam thing out only to only to read the manuel that it only supports 1024x786 and 1280x1024 which my 360 does support but all i get is a blue screen that flashes no support which is frustraighting to say the least,VGA on pc is another sore point for me as the resolutions dont look all that good 1024x786 looks fine but for a screen this size it just doesnt cut it,1280x1024 on pc looks ok buts its blurry and is not acceptable for day to day pc use.Now onto hdmi i hooked up my dvi to hdmi lead to my pc and i could only get 1024x768, ive tryed powerstrip to see if i could get a 1:1 pixel mapped image at 1366x768 and its a big NO NO,this TV is not 1:1 pixel mapped and the limited resolutions on the main vga and hdmi conections have me off to say the least. So at the end of the day i have a TV that only lets me connect my 360 over component and a very limited resolution for my PC suffice to say am not very happy.Ill be calling Misco for a replacement model and getting the Mirai DTL-632V200 32 instead which has had rave reviews, and which i know does a very good resolution for my PC,misco are selling the mirai for £449 in vat but ive cheaked a few other sites and i can get it for £393 at www.scan.co.uk,so if misco dont price match ill be asking for a refund.Ive also done a bitt of digging around on the hannspree xv 32 and apparently the model i have is the newer model but with lower contrast and brightness, its very strange that the older model had better specs, and as far as i know after reading reviews had 1:1 pixel mapping,i just dont get it.I emailed hannspree and they told me that there were 2 models in the xv 32 range, am confused because they seem to be selling for the same price,if anybody can shed some light on this be my guest, sorry about the long winded post folks but i feel i had to get this off my chest,ok i feel much better now.Ok am off to call misco now...

If it has 2x hdmi it is the new model. If it has only one, then it is an older version. The new one has much better spec, apart from losing PIP. Misco are very vague on the model number - the reference they give could be one of 3 different models, but I'd guess it isn't the new one if you think the contrast is lower!

XV JT01-32E1 = old model
XV JT01-32E2 = New model
XV YT07-32E1 = different model, better spec than JT...E1, not as good as JT....E2

If she wants to play Slaughter House 7 on X-box or use it as a PC monitor she'll be unhappy, if she wants it to watch Richard & Judy, she'll be happy (and less to dust too).

Ebuyer also - though they have listed it with the wrong spec and confused themselves, same model though.

If they have taken payment (which I presume they have) then they have entered into a contract to supply at that price. The fact that the "courier has lost it" is completely irrelevant.

i phoned there customer services again this morning and they have told me that they have refunded my money and said they can sent me another TV but i will have to pay the new price , i might as well as i will get the quidco back on top of the quidco i got when i originally purchased it
