Good evening.

Misco are currently selling refurbished units of the 32" XV32 (JT01) and 37" XV37 (JT02) and (importantly) they are showing as in stock. They also have the 37" XV37 (YT08) model, but IIRC the JT02 model is a better spec. I have personally gone for the 32" XV32 (JT01) and paid a little extra for next day delivery and can confirm it has been despatched and is tracking with CityLink.

- 32" XV32 (JT01) - Misco No: 143908 - 2 Year Warranty - £199.99 (Inc. VAT + Delivery)
- 37" XV37 (JT02) - Misco No: 143909 - 6 Month Warranty - £259.99 (Inc. VAT + Delivery)
- 37" XV37 (YT08) - Misco No: 143911 (was 143912) - 6 Month Warranty - £259.99 (Inc. VAT + Delivery)

Update: 04/09/2008 08:33 -

- JT01 still in stock
- JT02 out of stock
- YT08 still in stock but on Misco No: 143911

Update: 08/09/2008 00:41 -

- JT01 out of stock
- JT02 in stock (Misco No: 150076) at £269.99 + Delivery and 6 months warranty
- YT08 out fo stock

Update: 14/09/2008 20:31 - The following are in stock:

- 32" E1 YT07 - Misco No: 143910 - 6 Month Warranty - £199.99 + Delivery
- 37" E1 JT02 - Misco No: 143909 - 6 Month Warranty - £259.99 + Delivery
- 37" E1 YT08 - Misco No: 143911 - 6 Month Warranty - £259.99 + Delivery
- 37" E2 YT08 - Misco No: 143912 - 6 Month Warranty - £258.82 + Delivery

- 3 Day Delivery - £5.86 (Inc. VAT)
- Next Day Delivery - £11.74 (Inc. VAT)

I can't explain why the 32" carries a 2 year warranty and the 37" only carries a 6 month warranty, however, the price of the 32" is on par (price wise) with the recent Beko offer from Bennets and works out cheaper than the refurbished Technosonic that SVP were offering earlier today. The Hannspree panels seem to get good feedback, so hopefully you will agree that these are a good price.

Hope this helps,

iecuk

That is a different model, with worse specs.

very good prices considering the reputation for Hannspree and the warranty on them as well!

Would say these are far superior to the likes of Beko and Technosonic, however they still can't compete with the likes of Panasonic and Sony, but let's face it, it's only £200 :o

Both eBuyer and Dabs are selling new 32" LCD TV @ £250 (Digimate/Vistron) respectively, if anyone is in the market for a cheapo TV.

Are you saying that the Digimate and Vistron are the same model as this Hannspree with a different badge?
#10

I've had the JT02 since March 07. It was £497 then. Still going strong and best TV purchase I've ever made. :-D

This looks great... Very tempted.

I don't think any of the three televisions I pointed out have Freeview TBH.

Can confirm that the JT02 is now showing as out of stock once you view the item, but the JT01 is still showing as in stock as is the YT08 although it is on a different product code. I will update the original thread now.

Glad some people approve of my first deal!

Not really fair to compare it to the SVP one then TBH.

Heat added, just bought the jto1, only 6 months warranty though, cheers

Keen until I saw this in the specs -
HD Resolution Accepts 1080i and 720p broadcasts displaying the picture in a crisp 720p (progressive scan) resolution

Shouldn't a 32" fully support 1080i?

It does "support" 1080i!
Most 32" (especially at this price) are 720p
#25
the resolution of 1080i is obviously 1080... which means to "fully" support it you need to purchase a full HD 1080p television.... All 720p tvs that support 1080i will down scale it to 720 resolution.....

anyone know Misco's return policy with dead pixels?

Am I missing a trick here, or does the 32" genuinely come with ONLY HDMI inputs? No VGA or SCART???
#30
32" = Availability: No stock available, product ordered on demand

The specs suggest it comes with 2 x Scart, 2 x HDMI and VGA...

HTH,

iecuk
#32
The specs on the Misco site say 2xHDMI only?
#33
My JT01 has just been delivered. The box was a bit of a mess (the driver questioned whether I had sent it away and it was coming back) and wasn't well sealed so I was concerned at first (and signed for it as unchecked). On opening, the TV looks immaculate and the only other items included are a remote and mains power cable.

I can confirm it has 2 scarts, 2 HDMI, VGA and a variety of other connections. Don't have time to set it up and test functionality now, but will be sure to give it a whirl and report back ASAP (most likely this evening or tomorrow morning now :x)

Cheers,

I have a 32inch Hannspree that I got from Ebuyer. It's a Which? don't buy! (Though in fairness I think Which? is full of **** when it comes to reviewing electrical goods). The picture is ok, but sometimes you can see a red blurring during movement (most evident when play Resistance Fall of Man on the PS3). I don't think I'd get another, though at this price it's a pretty damn good deal.
#35
I don't know if this helps anyone, but I ordered the JT02-37E2-000G using the link below after the other links had gone out of stock.

http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=328419&catcode=WW

This one has the 2 HDMI ports.

I've just had a dispatch notification...

Looks like it's back in stock..

I ordered one of these last night (JT01) and got confirmation today. I was looking at it yesterday and printed off spec page which definitely states 2 year collect and return warranty but site now showing 6 months on this product. Anyone received this and knows how long the warranty actually is? Bought as a xmas pressie but 6 month warranty will be almost up by then!!! :x
#37
Me as well....

Ordered this morning with Next Day delivery and 2 years warranty...

I get the conrimation through.... no stock.. its on back order and only 6 months warranty.

Anyone do a screenshot???

I too ordered a set earlier today while they were in stock (the JT01) and got confirmation with the stock being stated as backordered.

Many thanks for the pdf of the page before they changed the warranty, I emailed them earlier to check and this may help.

You really should not of done that.

You should keep quiet then if there is a problem show them the evidence! Especially when you havent even had it delivered yet!
