Just received an email from Saverstore.com. I've bought products from this outfit in the past with no problems. This particular model does not include Freeview (it doesn't mention it at least) and the price does not include delivery. However, it has a good range of connections that include 2*HDMI which is pretty good for something in this price range. Enjoy - I've already bought one of these from a separate outfit and the quality of it is good considering the price range.

I bought one of these on Monday with free delivery and it arrived two days later. Compared to other branded ones it is still superb. Check out all the great reviews on eBuyer. My only gtipe is that I paide 399.99

why is this getting voted cold??? can anyone else find a similar spec TV for such a low price??

I would wait a few weeks before buying one of these E2 models.

Lots of problems with those manufactured in May 2007.

New models coming out to replace these.

On checking it seems that my purchase from eBuyer was the E1 model (JT02-37E1-000G) not the E2. Might explain why there's only positive reviews of it on eBuyer?

I wouldn't buy another Hannspree if you paid me. Our 32" from ebuyer failed after 2 months. It took them two "attempts" to collect it which means I lost two days leave and they've now had it over 3 weeks. I've rung up twice to find out what's going on and have been given bull**** each time.

How can you say that - it's either a good picture or not:?

I've seen this at a friends house, was on Sky via scart at the time, and I was quite impressed as to how it dealt with the scart conversion to digital for the hdtv, not all can do it well.

i've got 1 and it does the job, picture is good enough and definetly value for money

its the JT version people this is a mega deal, paid £500 delivered for it 6 months ago and its brilliant, plays the 360 without flaw and is exellent is HD, DvD's are great, tv could be better but is still good. hot hot hot:thumbsup:
#12
correct me if im wrong but arent these e2 ones supposed to have a samsung panel ? i thought these were supposed to be great tvs for the money ? do you know something i dont ???
#13
I have a Hannspree & I'm more than happy with it! I love it & haven't had a single problem with it... Pic is fantastic! This is a fab price!

Voted hot!!

I forgot to mention above that when I purchased the Hannspree JT I also bought a Goodmans GDB15HD Freeview Box (From Argos) which gives an HDMI output upscaled to 1080i. Everybody that's seen the resultant picture on the Hanspree has been most impressed and they imagined that I must have paid much more than I actually did. This is REALLY a great TV for the price.

Very odd, no problems at all on this side. Originally bought the 37" in April and the 32" around Feb for the spare bedrooms and the 37" one get used very regularly (almost every day) without an issue.

Another positive vote here!
I bought one of their 32" (E2) sets a couple of months ago for the Kids room. So impressed, I bought another for my mum's housewarming pressie.
As one user above commented, the Goodmans Upscaling Freeview box is perfect for this (and currently half-price at Argos!).
I would say that the PQ is almost as good as my Samsung for which I paid almost 3x as much!

I find it funny that most of the people criticising this TV don't even have one!

question about the goodmans upscaling freeview box, will it upscale periferals as well ie a connected cable box

Agreed, they are fantastic with the right cables/components.

Of course you will get a bad picture with the wrong accessories.

I swear by these tv's I have a 32" YT Hanspree tv and it's amazing for the Xbox 360! I would imagine this tv would be even better. You can't beat them for the price.

The picture I get on the 360 with the official component matches the Sony Bravia I paid almost 2 grand for last year!

I will be honest. When looking for the Sony Bravia I was put off by every LCD tv because of the picture in the shops. This is because most shops use a normal feed and don't use gold scarts or components.

You really need to see them yourself with the correct accessories and cables to appreciate them. Hannspree seem to get a lot of business from word of mouth though and the internet, probably not the best brand to try and sell in a shop at the moment.

Yeah true, but i dont like the bravia either!! overrated rubbish i reckon (only my opinion of course)

Most decent shops should be using a hdmi feed and hidef source demo

Most have those pricey 16 multiplier hdmi feeds for their plasma/lcd hdtv's on display
#23
Reply to Dogballs re the Goodmans Freeview Box: Unfortunately no, it will only upscale its own output.

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Even the top of the range ones? :whistling:

They are amazing with Dvd's. Crystal clear. Again it depends on the cables etc but I don't think you could get a better picture. I looked at every major branded LCD TV and nothing came close to it.

In addition to the Goodmans upscaling freeview box which is on the Hanspree's HDMI input I added a Bush DFTA1001 Scart Freeview adapter to the Scart 1 input and assigned Scart 1 to the PIP/POP. So now I can actually monitor visually what's on the other freeview channels just by pressing PIP or POP on the Hannspree's remote. The DFTA1001's remote doesn't conflict with the Goodman's or visa versa. Then after confirming it all worked OK I moved the DFTA1001 to the 'In' Scart of my DVD recorder and routed the 'Out' Scart of the recorder to Scart 1 instead. Now I can also record a channel other than that which I'm watching etc.etc. Not bad for a £24.99 Freeview adapter from Argos !
