Hannspree HannsLounge 32" LCD TV

My Style, My TV

Classic designs from the 1950s were the inspiration for this model. Using a basic concept based on molded veneer and a wooden back shell, the design integrates modern techniques and smooth, flowing lines. The combination of retro and modern should appeal to young urban professionals; this is a TV suited both to a wide variety of personal spaces and to business environments.

they have some ugly or 'interesting' looking tvs, £200 for a 32 inch lcd though is hot, ok 8ms is not awesome but for under 200 notes, what do you expect?

hot n rep from me

i dont need one but i would be tempted if i had the need for an extra tv.
#2
Heat given, Hannspree are a known brand and for less than £200 you're not gonna nitpick that much for a TV of this size for the price.
#3
great price for a 32", just worth noting that i cant see Freeview in this tellybox.

dont forget a healthy 6% quidco too:

Actually think this is quite funky looking. I assume it is 1080i HD, although doesnt say in specs?
#5
It is 1080i. It also has a CF slot on the front for viewing pictures, has POP etc.

Actually quite swanky looking and great for this money.
#6
It doesn't look to me as though this is wall mountable, which is a shame as I may have considered moving the bedroom TV downstairs and putting this in it's place. My CRT is taking up too much space!
#7
I have always liked the look of this. Feel like selling my 40" Samsung to buy this just because my Sammy is too big!
#8
Is the screen size 32"? as it looks like the speakers at the bottom might be most of that?
#9
Wall mount is same with me - would be ideal for the loft, but hey ho.

The specs listed say...
Max Resolution1366 x 768 WXGA
Therefor don't think it is, looks like a standard lower res screen, but as stated £200 is quite cheap for a 32" display, eventhough this model is a few years older now and doesn't have freeview, it might look ok if you can find a 50's styled playstation or wii.
#11
Does this have built in freeview? Or am I asking for 2 much lol.

EDIT: answer above doh.

What I meant by that is that is accepts a maximum of 1080i input via HDMI (i.e. doesn't accept 1080p), but scales it to its native resolution, which will be 720 vertical lines.

Many DVD players upscale to 1080i and some older sets don't accept this, but this one does, I believe.

This does accept 1080i and I've even had 1080p come up on screen when using my PS3 via HDMI and COD 5 WAW on my 26" version of this.

Hot deal for the money !!!!! just trying to think where I could put another TV  lol
#14
I also have the 26'' version of this, I absolutely love it, very tempted to put mine in the bedroom and this in the living room, if only I had a spare 200 notes

Its a great TV

...HOT

Good find for a tv that size,it does look kind of funky and i do recon its a kind of marmite tv where some people would love how it looks and some would absolutely hate how it looks, but more importantly is whats the picture quality like?
Does anyone know of any reviews anywhere?
#16
With cheapest delivery (1-3 days) comes to £205.73. Apparently this had good reviews in What Hifi when released. Voted hot
#18
Looks nice I reckon.

Voted Hot.

looking at the pics, it has a card reader aswell!
#22
This is extremely tempting to have in my room. I don't really care about the quality as along as its good enough. 1080i I can live with. Just a shame its not wall mountable!
#23
My uni flatmate got the 26" version of this, couldnt really complain for the price last year but there was some noticable ghosting when playing fifa on the 360.
#24
Very tempting price for that size! Although, I think it's a bit ugly...but you can't knock that price! HOT!
#25
I love the look of it too, quite retro styling which I like!

Too bad I already got my Sony KDL32V4000 a month or so ago..
#26
For those who don't like its looks, don't you think that this means you like the looks of the standard design TV's we now have where pretty much all that changes is the branding badge.

I agree it's a Marmite moment, but TV's in general don't really 'go' with most houses decor, now being large black monstrosities that only look good in a black and white bachelor pad.

If it had Freeview I'd get this for my mum, I rather like the metal legs idea, at least it's a talking point.

Heat and rep for the bargain it is.
#27
Great looks like the eBay mongers are at it ordering 10 at a time. Site looks like its cant cope with the traffic!
#28
i want one! someone want to give me £200 as an early xmas present?
#29
cant order 1
#30
Unless you like the look of this don't buy it for the price. The £100 you save over a Sony or Samsung 32" TV is quickly eaten up buy the high running cost (electricity).
#31
hows that?
#32
please explain pet2000

What are the chaces of these still being in stock tonight?
#33
Great deal, bought one for my Mom for Xmas, I think she will like the old fashioned look of this.
Nan's got a 32" Hannspree LCD, had it for nearly 2 years with no problems.

Cost £200, delivery £5 (1-3 days) minus Quidco of £10 = Total cost of £195 delivered.

Just had despatch e-mail and £10.42 Quidco registered in account (2.50pm 8th Dec)
#34
why is everyone so bothered about freeview, use the force (i mean digibox) instead, and as for pet2000, cant be as bad as a samsung they'r like radiators on steriods:p
#35
im trying to order but the site is soo slowww
#36
£200 for a 32" LCD.... :0

Dang... why do all the good deals pop up around Xmas time, a time of year when your skint from having spent all ya money on other people... :p
#37
trying to like it but sorry its discusting looking
#38
oh well just ordered one should be ok for the boys bedroom with the 360
#39
Is this good for the money or not?
