Great monitor (I recently bought 2), but it's only £176 - including free delivery - at DebenhamsPlus.

This looks the same one here for £269.97

unless I'm being blind, that's £169, not £269. that seems a cracking price for a 27" WQHD IPS screen

I need one for my son who will be gaming and also video editing at college for his course. What about the hz would that matter ?

I purchased this monitor from cclonline a few days ago and upon setting it up and plugging it in for the first time it sparked, and it stopped working the day after, so took it back to ccl for a full refund, mine may have just been a dud but even the folks at ccl weren't surprised "ah of course it's hanns-g". just my experience though

probably because shortly after it was posted, someone posted a cheaper price. I'd guess it's that original deal being voted cold.

seems a (very) good price too me. I've been looking for a larger monitor for ages and only recently went for a 4k 27". I think I'd have gone for this if I'd seen it earlier

minus points to me is it looks like a basic stand with no height adjustment nor pivot, and no vesa either which would allow you to use other stands.

some people swear that low response times are vital for gaming - I'm far from convinced personally and you have to make a choice between TN and IPS panels. TN have the low response times, but worse viewing angles and the general view is the picture is not as good, colours are not as bright/accurate etc, though TN are much better than they used to be. IPS panels are generally more expensive.

There is actually some pivot on the stand, though (as you say) no height adjustment or VESA.

I've been very happy with my pair - I'm not a gamer, but I love the amount of screen real estate that 2560x1440 gives me.

No, the link in the first comment. There's also another link in OP deal description.

the resolution is to fit the screen size/ratio......its hardly going to look 'unusual'
