Digital TV

Between now and the end of 2012 the UK will be turning off all old “analogue” TV transmitters and switching your TV signal to “digital”. Digital TV offers new ways to enjoy your TV. You will have a greater choice of TV channels as well as access to additional features and services which will enhance your TV-watching experience.

When the digital switch happens in your area, your older analogue TVs will no longer be able to pick up a signal. To keep your normal TV service running, you will need to convert your TVs to digital before your area’s switchover date.

Switching your home to digital is easy. All you need to do is purchase digital tuner and connect it to your analogue TV or alternatively, you can replace it with a new digital TV. The Hannspree ST32IMBBE LCD TVs come with Freeview built-in, making it the ideal option for preparing your home for the digital switch.

Freeview is the easiest way to enjoy digital TV for free. There are up to 50 digital TV channels, no subscription, no contract, no fuss. With up to 48 digital TV channels to choose from on FREEVIEW™ there's something to keep everyone entertained. Not to mention 24 digital radio stations, better picture and sound quality and all those interactive features when you press the red button on your remote.
HDMI Connectivity

Put simply, HDMI is the new industry standard for the connection of home entertainment equipment.

High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) connections between TV, DVD and other digital equipment are gradually replacing older SCART connections and make it possible to deliver high definition pictures and sound to your HD Ready TV. The Hannspree ST321MBB has 3 HDMI connections, making it possible to connect 3 HD sources (satellite TV, DVD, Laptops, games consoles etc) to your TV at any one time.

I have a theory about electrical goods since i purchased a hannspree telly. If you are going to be using something every day i.e telly. Buy a branded one. If you are going to buy something you will only use occassionally i.e a toasted sandwich maker, dont spend the extra on a branded one. A cheapo unbranded one is fine.

Anyway my hannspree would increase the volume at will, when turning it on 50% of the time there was sound but no picture.

I've got a Sony now.

Yeah, but that's a fault you can get repaired, and you can get it replaced if not. Setting a-side the possibility of a faulty product; of course you're not going to get the best quality when buying cheap but this is still a HOT deal!

Hannsprees have some cracking reviews generally (especially this model), you're get good and bad in any manufacturer and will have a degree of faulty units, so can't compare between one and another..

Your comment is bizarre. All of the tellys you link to are well over £300 (one is £394) - the one on offer in this deal is £270.
Also, to all and sundry, Hannspree is a well-known brand that has good reviews for at least some of their products. I own a Hannspree 37" LCD that I got about 3 years ago. Now I'm not saying I would buy another mind you, but it is a recognised brand.

Yawn.... Hanspree is well know yes, but only in same sence as Vivatar, Bush, alba, Foen and Hirsch etc... That doesn't make the great..... a Good brand the LCd world is Sony, Panasonic, Samsung etc.....

You might not want / or can't pay for a decent TV and so fair enough, but I think it's daft to spend £270 on a heap of **** when you could shop around and Spend another 10% and get a lot more for your money.... Maybe my above examples weren't the best, I only spent two seconds searching.... There's been plenty of Sony, Sammy 1080p TV's under the £300 (I personally bpught 3 Sony KDL-EX403 TV's for £299 each a month ago)...

Just an opinion....

Wrong, Hanspree is a proper brand, they make their own TV's, unlike those that you have listed.

Clearly you are out of your depth so why bother posting such drivel?

Drivel = Experience.... I work for a HIgh street TV shop and we sell hannspree... Remotes are god awful, picture quality is blury and well over saturated, freeview menus are painfully slow at responding, body of TV feels really cheap thin plastic...

Put this along side a Sony, Panasonic and see the difference with the same source and you'll then not say it's drivel

But then why believe me? The last time I saw a Sony 1080p LCd TV on here for £349 (the john lewis £100 trade in deal) it went to something silly like 1000 degrees and even after it ended the thread kept going as people tried to scramble for one... This is 1080p and 20% cheaper and yet it's stuck 33 degrees... Seems the public have decided....

Over and out

consider myself to be a very savvy shopper and it was on the back of these Hannspree reviews did i decide to buy mine.
However, someone writing a review uses the product for maybe a matter of hours or at best a few days. My experience comes from having used it for a couple of years.
And as for someone saying repair my hannspree. I look at that as throwing away good money after bad. People can of course wax lyrical about this brand or even Foen & Hirsch (what do they think it sounds like bang and olufsen?) but if you are going to use something everyday, buy quality. Even if it is only Samsung or some other run of the mill brand.

Yes I can just imagine that you do.

Now how long is the warranty on a Sony, Panasonic?
