Verdict

Time was when Hannspree’s ST321MBB would have impressed as a more than respectable budget option. However, with Toshiba’s superior 32AV635D now actually available for less money online, Samsung’s miles better LE32B550 only costing around £60 more and a rather ‘last year’ look to the ST321MBB’s picture quality in a number of key areas, it’s hard to think of any compelling reason why you should buy one.

You can still have a 50hz LCD.
I have a hanspree and its 720p and 50hz. I am looking for a 100hz now.

Whenever someone talks about looking for an LCD i always recommend the largely unknown Hannespree brand . Ive had one for 4 years now and it was an absolute steal . AV Forums have literally hundreds of pages bigging them up .

I saw this and had to go for it. Great deal... not that I need more TVs... eeep! The wife won't be happy!

Realy?

My brothers Hannespree looks sh1t compared to my Sony. Not sure about Samsungs, they always appear to have good specs/reviews and are affordable but only a 12 month warranty versus the Sony 3/5 year typical warranties (if Samsung don't back their own longevity then I won't!). Although I will admit brand image is also a factor in my lounge TV choice.

For balance, my brothers Hannspree was a better performer than his Bush plasma though...

These TVs are great. Bought one a few years ago (720p) and gave it to my aunt last year who has it on CONSTANTLY. Still going strong. Picture quality great and sound quality good.

BTW - 720p model worked fantastically well with PS3. I'm pretty sure this one will be even better!

I would say that Hannspree is reliable but not the ultimate in picture quality or motion handling however is betterthan most at this price point.
