Wicked price!

BT shop £359.98 delivered and about £7 off with quidco, ebuyer add £20+ for delivery http://www.shop.bt.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=4R9V&CategorySelectedId=11006&PageMode=1&InMerch=1

lol i think the BT site shares the same designer as the Dabs site :giggle:
#4
great buy this tv, i own the same model but in 32", the picture is fantastic, especially in HD, it has enough inputs to connect 8 items, great buy...great find.
#5
Same company iirc, but dabs charge delivery whereas bt ( that's dabs bt ) offer free delivery on £99+ orders.
#6
dabs keep changing their delivery, some days its free over 99, some free over 49, some days not free at all! weird. and annoying. good company though imho.

honestly how good is this tv? at £200 less than the samsung it's tempting, but i'd have to research a lot first.
#7
German brand made in Czech Republic iirc, quality/longevity possible not up to samsung but it does come with 2 years on site. Like most things you really need to see one in action, maybe someone here lives near enough for you to view.

This was advertised on here a few weeks ago at £299 from Misco, but I didn't do it then, and wished I had. Only heard good reviews for this TV, so I'll be buying it in the new year. Voted hot by the way.
#9
Decent TV, been this price for quite a while though.
#10
It was Micro Direct that were selling it for £299 and no one got one. Most people didn't even get told they weren't getting one until several days after they were supposed to be delivered. I for one, will never go near Micro Direct again! Non existant customer services and lies from those who do pick up the phones!

I got this TV eventually from eBuyer, delivered this week. Cracking TV and well worth £365! You can also get free delivery with eBuyer!

I've got a 32" Hannspree Xv and its probably the best electronics/AV purchase I've made this year. Great picture quality (SD via Humax 8000T) and DVDs look terrific (upscaled to 1080i from Phillips 5960 DVD Player). If the 37" LCD version is as good as the 32" I bought, then no worries! :)
#12
Ah I stand corrected Nemeus. Didn't realise no one got them though, didn't really seem like a pricing error, still they would have lost £70 I guess.

Looks like, from the reviews just on here alone, it's a pretty good TV.

good price, good brand(well price vs performance anyways). But i do wonder how they can say its great for a ps3/360 etc, at 8ms all i hear is that you get alot of ghosting especially at 32"+, probably wrong but either way its a great tv for the living room.

Voted hot.
#14
8ms is pretty standards tbh.

i had the 32" model of this tv and it was rubbish loads of ghosting and red blurring using sky through scart, the same when used with the wii through component, hdmi was a little better with an upscaling dvd player, sound dropped out and to top it all they would not honour the on site warranty(they have now changed it to collect and return) so i returned it to where i bought it and paid extra for a samsung and its much better,i would never buy one of these again!
#16
I bought one of these for £20 more a month or two ago and I am extemely happy with it. My only disappointment with it is that they have upped HDMI sockets to two (the previous model of this tv had only one) but but now it does not have a headphone out socket. A pity as I find headphones very handy when I want to play games or watch a blockbuster in the wee hours.

All in all though, I have no regrets at all about buying this Tv.

I purchased one at the weekend from Dabs as they were offering free delivery also over the weekend.

Received it yesterday and set it up last night. First impressions are very good. Excellent SD picture quality on Sky via scart. The TV is set up using the default settings and I did not notice any ghosting etc even watching football.

Excellent TV for the price and would recommend it to anybody thinking about it.

I also got £6.13 back with quidco

The 32" was a brill purchase for me this year, no ghosting with either the Sky HD or Xbox 360 over HDMI.... Fantastic picture - just waiting for a 1080p version to come out :)
#19
I have had this TV since Feb. Very pleaed with it. Great picture with Sky HD and an upscaling DVD player.

No problems with ghosting, no sound drop out, SD picture was always good through scart when I have ordinary Sky+. Thought I would be dissapointed when I changed from a CRT but was pleasantly suprised.

For those of you who are interesting the unit has a CPT panel (Chunghwa picture tubes).....

Those of you who need more than 1 HDMI socket, I have just bought one of these for about £27 inc P&P and it works perfectly with no signal loss etc.

You can get a vastly superior LCD for £500.
You cannot really go wrong with a samsung.

I have to say my Samsung Picture in Spain is better than my Toshiba here and my Tosh is only 14 months old.

Not trying to be funny, but shouldn't it look better with 720p upscaling? I'm really interested as I've been helping a mate with a 768 pixel Sharp and I want to know if I should set up his XBMC for 1080i or 720p.

Of course you can! Their LCD sets are rubbish at SD, acceptable at best. They look nice, if nothing else.

oh, nearly went for this one, but realised that it's not a proper HD as the max resolution is 1366x768 , while the proper HD res is 1920x1080

If you know a BT employee or pensioner then they can get another tenner off by signing in to the employee discount section.

I have just ordered this from BT shop as i was looking for one and lots of good reviews!
#31
Order this tv from bt shop they are the cheapest and they deliver the latest model.I ordered thursday @ 11.50pm received today(24.12.07)@11.45a.m,not bad for christmas!(e.buyer were dearer +wanted extra £25 for pre christmas delivery)
Now for the tv was a little concerned what the overall quality would be but as it was a second one for main bedroom.Did not need to worry this telly is an absolute steal for the price picture is very bright+clear,no blurr or lag connectivity is A1(main tv sony 40"lcd)
Cannot see these getting cheaper and if you saw one in a showroom at this price you would walk out with one opposed to any mainline brand i.e samsung or philips!
Get one while you can !!!!!!!!!!!

I received mine this week and spent all weekend tinkering with it. Unfortunately I am returning it as there was so much ghosting it was unwatchable.

Is it just my bad luck to get a duff TV (is that possible) or are all the Hannspree 37" models the same, i.e. if I return for another one will it have the same problems?

Shame relly cos it looks like a very nice TV, and the menu options looks really clear so would imagine HD is good on it, but SD, as I said before, was very bad.
