If like me you live in an area without freeview, or use sky then having an ordinary tuner is a godsend.
Now even cheaper than my AOC, contrast a little low, but hot, hot, hot and voted so

Its the same one Aldi did last November time. Its Standard definition playback is utterly awful, the scart that isn't rgb isn't usable either, and lastly the screen is WAY too bright and has no back light control. I returned mine because it was so poor (with so much artifacting) when processing Standard definition my old CRT looked 200% better.

The one alsi sold it was a hannspree?

I have this tv, bought it from Misco. The SD playback through Freeview probably doesn't compare to a decent CRT but from a normal viewing distance the picture is great. Even on close inspection the picture is great in comparison to the £650 Samsung a friend got from Dixons a few months ago.

I've got it hooked up to a HDMI Upscaling DVD player and the picture is awesome in comparison to the old set up i had. (dvd through scart to CRT).

There is a little motion blur occasionally when there is a very fast action screen, but then that affects the Samsung that i get to see a lot too.

My only complaint about my particular set is that when playing Pro Evo 6 on the PS2 i can see two very very faint vertical bands of different brightness, most probably due to the backlight, but that's only because the pitch is constantly green and then the motion shows up the defect. Not noticeable during films or tv viewing, or any other game. It will be something that affects my own set, not them all. I would ask them to fix/return it, but to be honest it's not enough of a problem to bother.

Hope that helps someone, at this price this set is a steal (I paid about £370 a few months ago). It's also classy looking, there is another model by hannspree that doesn't look that great, but this one has a lovely gloss finish.

(I think i saw the Version 2 model of this set somewhere else, it has 2 HDMI connections and better contrast ratios etc)

Because its a set designed for europe hence the analogue PAL/SECAM tuner.

From AV forums.

And what did THEY think to this particular TV?
#18
they liked it.
#19
Thanks!
#21
I am gonna order one of these myself - AV forums and many computer related forums on the net rate these very highly indeed and this IS NOT the same as the MEDION / TEVION stuff that ALDI sells.

It looks to offer amazing value for money and just about everyone who has one reckons they punch well above their weight.
#22
i paid £360 for mine a couple of months ago, well worth the money!!
#23
looks like digimate
#24
Just ordered one of these, and registered on the site to say thanks.

Many thanks for spotting this deal. The set looks great.

I want to use this for my xbox 360. Can anyone tell me what cables I need to buy to get the best picture from and Xbox360. I read on the av forum that composite may be better than rgb, none of which means much to me.
#26
Also just ordered one. Will leave rep and post a review when it turns up. Thanks to the OP!

Only 6 left in stock now! If you want 1 be quick!

Ebuyer have either got the model number or the specs mixed up, as Hannspree make 2 versions of their 32" tv.

YT:
Contrast Ratio:750:1
Brightness:
450 cd/m²
JT:
Brightness:

550cd/m²
Contrast Ratio:

1000:1

As someone mentioned before, this tv (the JT version at least) was well received by AVforums, which is why I decided to buy one last month :)
I've had it connected to SD signal, which was a better quality that I expected from an HD tv. Mostly used for the PS3 though and the quality is superb, even for the old fast moving ps2 games like Pro Evo.

The JT and YT are fairly well matched.

AVForums tend to favour the JT version - seems to have less faults and the glossy black finish.

However it is reported that even though Ebuyer advertise it as the JT they actually are selling the YT version. That has a matt black/grey finish and slightly lower specs as above.

Intekk sell the newer JT version for £329. (2 HDMI, 1200:1 contrast etc)

still £308 is a bargain. voted hot!

Only 5 left - great find..
#32
Then there were three...
#33
Just bought one of these!

Great find!
#34
oooo just the 1 left! whos gonna snatch it?
#35
Remember guys, I would call ebuyer before purchasing to confirm the model number. Although this states its the JT model, looking at the specs, it appears to be the YT model (considered worse of the 2). Still a good TV but pretty sure its not the TV advertised.
#36
As far as I can tell it has the correct info for the JT on the 'extended specification' page, but the wrong specs on the main page of the TV.

Hmm... I might fire off a quick email to ebuyer just to double check, but they're generally spot on with product models.

Out of stock Now
#38
Yep think i got the last one cheers OP.
#39
I missed it here so I just bought it off intek.com for £331 with delivery. Bit of a bonus in that I get a 24 Month Warranty too.
Thanks for the info guys.

I see the price has somehow risen to 318 now on Ebuyer but its still out of stock, although I'm hoping this means it will now come back in stock.
