I assume its the same set!

The other one has a different model number, XV32

Though the specs are similar.

This has the correct latest E2 model number, so it should be the same as that sold by Intekk, but the specs don't match any current VX model, so I'd be cautious as to what you're actually buying - especially as Ebuyer have it marked at £30 cheaper than the older E1 model.
#8
Seems a very good price if it is the E2 model with 1200:1 contrast ratio.

wouldn't be so sure as they've got the specs completely wrong (where did they get the 450cd/m2 from?) and they're selling the E1 also seperately.

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/search/?strSearch=&bolShowAll=true&intStoreID=73&intCatID=133&intSubcatUID=2079&intMfrID=163&bolShowAll=true

I guess they just haven't bothered to update the spec for the newer model.

A mod has pulled the post for some reason

if you do a search on
JT01-32E2-000G

you find that all the sites that sell this model have 1 HDMI and a 750:1 contrast ratio, so I think the information given by ebuyer is correct and that this is not the E2 model with the 1200:1 contrast ratio.
#15
It is though exactly the same model number as stated by Hanspree and Intekx as having 1200:1 and 2 x hdmi and it is a tiny range - so might be worth giving one of these other retailers a call to double-check actual spec. They may all be quoting the same incorrect source.

EDIT: had a quick look around the web and apart from Intekx in the UK, all 1200:1 / 2 x hdmi models appear to be with Italian retailers exclusively. So possibly UK has been given an interim models using an identical model number. So check with them first, but if you want one it looks like Intekx is the only route at mo'.
#16
I actually think ebuyer are selling the newer model because one of the reviewers who bought the E1 model says...

I received the newer model JT01-32E2-000G.

Contrast Ratio 1200:1 Brightness 500 cd/m²
2xhdmi
3D CombFilter

Excellent picture. Stunning glossy black design. Not noticed any blurring/lagging (tried with skysports football). Easy to setup. Convenient cable tidy compartment on the back of tv. Not tried any HD programmes as not got subscription.

This is my 2nd purchase from this manufacturer (hannsg/hannspree) already have the hu196 lcd monitor (that's great too).

I can happily say I am well pleased with this purchase. I bet you won't get a better quality tv for the money!!!
#17
I bought this TV from eBuyer a couple of weeks ago when it last posted here and they sent out the E2 model with 2 HDMI ports and 1200:1 ratio. I think it's just a case of them posting the wrong specs on the site.
#18
Cheers steve9999,

I have just realised that the 750:1 etc spec used by most UK retailers is actually for model YT07-32E1-000G, an upper model to the original JT01-32E1. So as long as you are definately buying a JT01-32E2 you should get the 1200:1 model. Someone must have sent out the wrong info with the new model.

EDIT: Just put my money where my mouth is and bought one!
#19
does this have 1080i support for the PS3???

if so i'll buy one right now
#20
This is very tempting if others have received the new version then it is a really good price.

i think it is the e2 model, the e1 model only has 1 hmd. i guess the other retailers are getting shot of the e1 models and getting in the newer e2 model in soon. price is 40 cheaper than intekx. hope the screen works okay with the pc.

when i bought it was 14, and its gone back up to 15. payment has been taken already. i guess their system is a bit funny. charlie
