i voted cold because, its only an extra £20 to get the new kindle with better screen contrast & grey levels and built in wifi (+ web browser etc)

The Kindle is 25% more expensive. Doesn't come with a case either. I'd say it's a decent price for what it is.

Kindle is only £19 extra for a whole lot more features and a nicer design as well as better support. I would definitely get a Kindle over this.

Also the Kindle is 21% not 25% more expensive.

no one mention wifi?

I've had two of these and it's not bad device at first glance. Nice sturdy build quality and support for EPub format (which the Kindle lacks). The big negative is the firmware, which randomly locks up. Most of the time it does it while reading, which means you can still shut the unit down and restart (but you lose your place in the book). But sometimes it locks in the menu screens, leaving the unit completely unresponsive. If you don't happen to have a pin to push the recessed reset button, then you're out of luck. Needless to say Hanvon haven't produced any updates to the firmware, or none that I can find anyway, to fix this bug.

I really can't recommend buying an N516 at all.
