I bought one of these for my phone but did not like it at all. It made the phone look like when you buy a packet of razors out of the supermarket and they have that plastic security case round them that the checkout girl has to take off before you leave the supermarket.

Sorry to disagree but I really like the case. It fits like a glove and does exactly what you want it too. More important would probably be a cover for the actual screen though. And for £3.99 you can't go wrong.

Each to their own but I don't like it.

Hi,
I have one of these on myHTC Desire and it is great, stops scratches and adds protection to the camera lense too as is bordered by the skin case so is not in contact directly with the surface you put it on.
great price too.

In the end I bought the official HTC screen cover - 2 for £5 at Play. Bit more expensive but good quality and no problems with bubbles.

That's not the lense though, it's just a piece of fancy looking plastic.

do anyone know where i get these sort of thing for HD2?

Does anyone know where I can find a leather flip case for a HTC Desire at a good price? I prefer a flip case to a gel or plastic case as it protects the screen too. Thanks.

Is that why in EVERY review the HTC Desire beats the iPhone hands down in almost every department??

hahahahaha...have to laugh at the 'sheep' mentality of the iPhone users.

Unbelievable that the phone they rave about so highly cannot even show flash !!! pathetic really

iPhone are in the shadow of HTC at the moment as far as useablity of their products.

well, if you couldnt multitask then youd be equal with the iPhone:p

iPhones are basically for 2 types of people

1) sheep who like to 'fit in' with the masses
2) those who just want a nice thing to look at, regardless of what it does

BOTH pathetic really

Fleabay have loads of cases like this for just as cheap

If it was not for Apple you guys would still be using the UI developed by Nokia. It is a FACT.

Sing the praises for Apple and salute them, if you drop your Android Fanboy allegance that is.

Plus an Apple a Day keeps the Dr away. I bet you guys have to do all sort of complicated porting and firmware flashes to get anywhere near to Apple usability. That is hardly User Friendly :whistling:

Is that why the 4g iphone is adding in features that will bring up to the level of the HTC desire :whistling:

I bought some cheap screen protectors from eBay, but they were a nightmare to put on, and the protector was scratched within a couple of days and looks awful. I'll be buying official HTC ones next.

Damn just ordered these separately.
Heat ans Rep added as this is a good deal

As expected, this thread would inevitably turn into an anti-iPhone discussion.

Obviously the majority of people on this "money-saving" forum will be anti-apple, placing function over form in their purchasing priorities.

At the end of the day, if you want to save money, (which is why you will be on these forums) go for a phone like HTC which has all the features you will need. However if you want that edge on your mobile phone, which arguably, money can't buy, the iPhone is the right mobile phone for you.

so the iPhone is better looking than the HTC.....that's what you are saying yeah?
Then you contradict yourself and say apple have the edge??? We still talking looks?
I'm not disagreeing with you regarding the looks, but surely the function of a phone is more important than form???

I'm saying:

Form over function: iPhone Wins

Function over form: HTC Desire Wins.

The bottom line is, money saving websites like this attracts the opinions of those who want the most for their money, rather than those who want the "coolest" gadget out there.

I'm not biased, i'm just explaining why there are so many anti-Apple preachers on this website. It makes sense really.

I think you're right about the UI, but while apple moved onto fleecing it's customers, HTC went a step further with their UI.

Someone else will do something new soon and a new fanboy war will start. Personally I'll always look into each product and get whatever offers me all the features I want for the best price.

Woah there!

I'm a Mac user, and have been for the last five years. I've had every type of iPhone since its release.

I just changed to an HTC Desire.

And I'm not regretting it.

As for usability - it's absolutely fine - and a damn sight faster than any iPhone I've ever had. And don't need to jailbreak it just to make use of it to its full potential.

And I can expand the storage.

And I can replace the battery.

From a former iPhone user, who's not actually that excited about the new iPhone 4 at all.... ;)
#36
anybody that disregards anything the mighty google does, does so at their peril :D

I have a desire and it is great, very functional, looks great, is very fast and i dont need to do anything to it to get the full use out of it, mine is bog standard outta the box. I got one of these cases in black off fleebay and it is great.

I believe that happened when an insecure iPhone user turned up and mentioned the iPhone. Up to that point it was a discussion about a different phone. Is one of the new features of Iphone 4 an "Attention seeking" app or is it part of the OS now?
#38
Well I think this deal is very good for a case and protectors and that's worth heat and rep.

Now having read all the Iphone vs HTC on here I am going to buy .... the HTC.
Lets face it looks are great but to have a lasting meaningful relationship you have to have some DEPTH.
The HTC has that and a more friendly proprietor.
Apple are very very difficult to deal with, have you heard about the warranty void of phones exposed to moisture. And all the other stuff.

No battery replacement !!! What a crock .. to get more of you hard earned .... and a lot less customer friendly or trusting of Apple. I wasn't about the design of the phone but the Earning potential.

All the cross linking and Apple only servicing goes to monopoly in disguise and that is never good for consumers.

So the Tech is not cutting edge, the looks are now passe and the Apple company are not truly
a champion of virtue but monopolists with a cutting edge marketing department. Iphone :viking:

Function is Everything; Form is secondary and should compliment if possible but should not
be to the detriment of purpose.

Now which network should I go with ??? Anyone...

That is fine from a male perspective where the functionality of the Android wins, but for technophobes and females the iphone will always be a winner for its ease of use.
