For the first time ever on DVD, Harry Hill takes a sideways glance at the nation's favourite television, presenting some of the best moments from the BAFTA winning, hit series, TV Burp. Harry has blended together a selection of the choicest clips, silliest sketches and sharpest gags inspired by TV's biggest shows including; Coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Apprentice and The Bill, all served up in his own unmistakable style.
And of course TV Burp wouldn't be complete without a good FIIIIIIIIIGHT.......!

Question is, is this any good - i know harry hill is genius on tv burp but will the dvd lack
As another reviewer stated, this DVD is disappointingly short and a bit shoddy.

There is no disupting the quality of the show, there have been some genuine moments of genius on TV Burp over the years (Some of which are shown here) but this just feels like a couple of episodes shoved onto a disk and then released into the public. The main part of the DVD is only 60 minutes long (not the 90 listed on the box) and there are a few short extras. Im not sure how Amazon how managed to calculate 136 minutes as the running time, but this is definately NOT true.

All in all, hilarious but rather disappointing.

I was really dissapointed with this dvd, they could of done so much more with it, its just been rushed out into for Xmas.
The best bits are the extras though.

I thought more of you Harry.

Wish i had waited till after xmas and it would of been half price.

Its basically a very long version his show with stuff you'll have already seen (if you're a fan) but the presenting script etc is all new iirc. If i'd have paid £13 i'd be pretty annoyed though.

Worth it at this money

p.s. why didn't they do a version for adults only? That would have been so much better

Man, I hate Harry Hill... but he's clearly doing something right for you guys to actually call him a genius.

Fully agree with the above. He's not a 'naturally' funny person by his own admission - like say, Michael McIntyre for example. When Burp first came out it was very original and madcap and surreal .. however like Al Murray what was a great formula has now become tired and overdone - so much so the researchers have given up (or been replaced) and the writing is equally as weak. The 'fight'' skit is plain daft as opposed to wacky and relevant before - the barbs are either too obvious with their punchlines,,, are missed completely or again - just plain weak. The guests are Z listers or 'the public' and the final songs are more embarrassing than ****-taking. I just feel Hill has made his name as one of ITVs VERY rare talents currently and is resting on his laurels - why bother when folks will tune in regardless - cos its trendy to watch him and lets admit it compared to other ITV garbage - this IS TV gold ... in the mire of reality/karaoke/Ant & Dec dirge they churn out every night ..... other than that I heartily recommend you blow your seven quid on it .. however I know given a choice of spending that and McIntyre's what my money would be on!:whistling:

Yer thats why i wrote "is a genius on tv burp" His stand up if awful and not funny at all but tv burp is always good ALTHOUGH that fight thing is getting old and unfunny now

Good show, although the jokes are wearing a little thin now, as they are the same, watched this a few weeks ago, was ok, was pretty board after 30 mins though, an hour of TV burp is heavy going!

"What's that Stouffer? Someone mentioned our regular viewer Bunty Hoven?"

Watched this just this evening (courtesy of another love file free trial :))

It’s only an hour long and contains some pretty dated material - part of the magic of burp is that it mocks TV you may have watched in the last week or so - this mocks old Apprentices and celebrity big brother hijack (whatever guff that was?)

The ‘but which one is better….? FIGHT’ montage is good but the outtakes are a little tiresome and the unseen are just bits of material they didn’t put in the televised shows for a reason!

Rent it or be disappointed – not one for the collection and expect to see it in a bargain bin near you soon

That was a succinctly put and concise review of the DVD. Nice. Cant be any worse than has-been, frustrated tranny and ex-stand up Peter Kay and his own recent selection of cutting room floor rebranded tosh (allegedly and in my own personal opinion)
Hill was a breath of fresh air with this programme a few years back when it first came on and similarly was/is a boost to the flagging Youve Been Framed. Ironically now his own TV Burp is suffering the 'so whats new' syndrome which is a pity after bravely breaking the mould (at the time) of tiresome teatime telly .. now he's been thrust into a mainstream timeslot and consquently - TV Burp is now about 22 minutes worth of mainstream telly .... and ITV telly at that ('nuff said). Cheers!
