My local store had plenty in stock, but you had to spend £50 to get it at this price. Good if you're not near an Asda or a Morrisons!

It is not restricted to a spend of £50. It is £5 by itself!

I can also confirm you can buy the book for £5 on its own.

I guess people are voting this cold because its already known about and is restricted by "when you spend £50".

I've not voted either way

Compared to other offers out there, this is a poor one from tesco

It is not restricted at least in my local store, my dad just bought a copy of it.

Your right, just went to my local store, took it to the self checkout, and got it for £5, and used my clubcard voucher, so had it for free. Im happy now lol.

Hi, Good post if your store allows it to go through at £5; mine didn't unfortunately. However, its probably worth £10 all day long as i was going to pre order at that price last month :)

Take them back and if they are £5 each tell them you were overcharged, they then have to refund you double the difference meaning you will get £20 back from them so you will have got both books free.

while i was at the till the bloke behind me asked how much it was and the cashier told him it was £10 or £5 with £50 spend. as i was doing weekly shop for self and mother in law that wasnt a problem (and i had a voucher for £5 off a £50 spend anyway) so must have been a mistake in some stores.
one advantage is that i was able to get the adult version as opposed to the childrens one.
#13
Is the adult version saucier?
#14
i dunno i cant find anywhere quiet to read it yet lol i would doubt its saucier but it means if i end up sitting in park for some peace it looks more like a grown up book as i am over 30

Its deffo £10 at my local, big signs everywhere saying £5 when you spend £50.
#16
Its similar to WHSmith, just you don't spend that much, but you pay £8.99.
#17
both versions are the same just the dust jacket is different,

Yes, now the sign says £5 when you spend £50, which includes the £10 price (i.e. spend £40 & get the book for £5). However, it does not say you can't take 5 for £25 (it says the price is £5 when you spend £50 including the full price of the book & I scanned it for any mention of one per purchase, as the wife may have wanted a second copy for her friend - she didn't so I only took 1). Now if the till applied a one per purchase (I doubt it would), you could claim the 4 at full price for free due to being overcharged (double the difference of £5, i.e. the £10 each would cost). I have however had a storming arguement with a manager over the refund before, so be prepared.

Bought this [Harry Potter] in Morrison's In Edinburgh today at fairmilehead for 4.99. They had a display with many in stock.

i asked if the £10 for the book applied to the £50 spend and was told no had to be £50 without the books, if you look on the sign there is an asterix that says see full terms and conditions, not that they are anywhere to be found :S
