Harry Potter and the half Blood Prince, the sixth installment in the Harry Potter Saga is captivating, dark, and scary. The world of the wizards has finally come to terms that Lord Voldemort has returned and that Harry Potter is the only wizard that can defeat Voldemort.

The movie begins with Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) suspecting that Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) is a newly recruited Death Eater, a servant of the Dark Lord Voldemort. In addition, Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) starts privately instructing Harry for his battle with the evil forces. During these lessons, the dark past of Tom Riddle (Voldemort) is revealed and the movie provides an excellent insight into Riddle's descent to the dark side and the actors that portray Riddle are eerily wonderful. In the meantime, Harry learns about Voldemort's most powerful weapon, the Horcrux (within which Voldemort split his soul so that he cannot be killed) from the new potions professor, Horace Slughorn (Jim Broadbent). The movie climaxes with an epic showdown between Harry, Dumbledore, and the Half Blood Prince.

Despite the evil looming over Hogwarts, Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) give the audience laughs a plenty as their teenage awkwardness shines through their struggles with the Death Eaters. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince raises the stakes and is the best Harry Potter film to date. The movie is a nail-biting thriller and the key theatrical scenes are executed very well. It does a perfect job of setting up the two-part grand finale that is to follow.

Remember the BlinkBox post here on HUKD in the Freebies section.

Join from the Metro link, get £5 credit.

Use FIFTYOFFER code when buying a Harry Potter film, and get it half price, then pay for it out of the free £5 you got credited.

That makes it even cheaper than this deal, but if you want a physical disc you can play anywhere (unlike this blinkbox Digital Rights restricted offer) then get the discs.

I ordered a Harry Potter DVD from CD-WOW last year and they sent me a non-UK Region 2 version of the film (it appeared to be aimed at the middle eastern market) - there was no mention of this on the product page, so just a cautionary note here that you may not get the UK version.

Other than that, hot deal!

The copy I ordered also said UK etc on the product page but that didn't stop them sending a non-UK one - it was a region2 disc so it did work in my DVD player, it just wasn't the UK version they advertised so I sent it back.

I got The 2nd Pirates of the Carribean from CD-WOW and got a copy that wouldn't play in my UKdvd player despite it saying so! I couldn't be bothered with the returning etc so just watched it on pc instead but still annoying when it was advertised as UK region.

Anyhoo only happened the once and have had a fair few DVDs from them, and still gonna get this Harry Potter lol.
