Rather just wait for the box set tbh, they will be releasing this again soon with all 7 films and then again with all 8 films and finally a legendary editions with 25 disca including dvds, digital copies etc;

They will continue raping the franchise all the way to the bank. ;)

Because people are prepared to pay these crazy prices. Until that stops, prices will remain artificially high.

Even stranger are the people prepared to spend good money on blu-ray versions of films they already have on DVD. If decently upscaled there really isn't a great deal of visible difference between the image quality in my humble opinion.

Totally disagree. Upscaling is nothing like Blu-ray. You can instantly tell the difference.

Agreed, i just upgraded from an HD ready TV to a full HD Tv and the difference on that is amazingly noticable, i cant even wonder what it would be with going from no HD to full HD. I wouldnt re buy all my movies again, but i havent actually bought a dvd for about 3 years now due to my ps3 and blu ray.

Blu ray is markedly superior in every way to upscaling and normal DVDs.

Have to agree, upscaling is barely noticeable, blu-ray and dvd is chalk & cheese

There's also a notable difference in sound too if you've got an amp capable of playing the uncompressed audio tracks Blu-Ray discs have.

Well, I can only only speak from my experience. But I have a full hd Sony 40" with a s370 blu ray player. There is to my eyes only a very slight difference between upscaled DVDs and Blu ray discs. I have a lovefilm subscription and often do a test with family or friends or whoever is round watching a film. I don't tell them if that day's disc is a blu-ray or DVD. 9 times out of 10, people say blu ray when a DVD is on.

It's not that blu-ray discs don't appear to be great quality, it's just that so do upscaled DVDs on the s370.

Def deserved to go cold, considering it was going for £18 the following month on the HMV website.
