Hi all,

I'm praying I'm not double posting, but could see no sign of this deal posted yet! All 6 films so far on Blu Ray, and £40.95 is a pretty damn reasonable price for 6 movies on Blu Ray, especially when they're good ones that all clock in over 2 hours long! The original price seems like a bargain anyway but obviously you can take £3 off that using the Walkabout voucher code and a little more for Quidco.

Get in while the voucher is valid and the price remains!

3% Quidco, presuming Zavvi only pay on what you've paid after discount = £1.14, bringing the potential total to just £35.81 :)

EDIT: 18/9 @ 10am: Price has now been dropped by a pound.

Damn, was going to pre order this until I saw the release date, which is the day before I fly out to Oz for a month... so I can not order it as I will not be home to take delivery and even though I am placing a hold on my post I dont fancy leaving it in the sorting office for 1 month till I come back...

I have these all on HD DVD at the moment. Would want to switch over to Blu Ray in future as at some stage I'll sell the HD player and discs while I can still get something for them. However think I'll wait until all the films are out. There will no doubt be a special collection at that point.

1 to 5 maybe, but i don't think they released Half-Blood Prince on HD-DVD, well it's not even out on Blu-Ray or DVD yet. I would expect the full 8 film boxset around spring 2012.

Very true forgot about Half Blood. This is a very good deal given that I'll end up buying half blood when it comes out anyway.

Price has been dropped a quid since I posted the deal, so the price is now £39.95 or £36.95 with the voucher!!! :-D

Looks like we have a 7 disc set here, according to HMV, who have it up for just £2 more [without a code] http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;0;-1;-1;-1&sku=211161

H&R added, though I think there may be better deals forthcoming prior to the release.....

EDIT

Haa! Just noticed the post above - they've obviously matched the HMV price now

Admittedly this is only a guess, but I can't see why there'd be another edition with an extra disc. Based on the description on the HMV website, I'd hazard a guess that these both turn out to be the same thing!

Yes, just the same set.

I was only pointing out that there are 7 discs for the 6 films, so one with extras.

Same price[ish] at Play http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/10852079/Harry-Potter-Complete-Boxset-1-6/Product.html and Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harry-Potter-Years-1-6-Blu-ray/dp/B002MPP9JI/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1253265304&sr=8-11

Oh right, I presumed the Zavvi set only had 6 discs for some reason... Duh. Play was £44.99 last night so they're obviously competing. Zavvi's £3 voucher keeps it the cheapest though :)

Oh and I've just realised this deal has gone hot! Wooooooo, finally! My first Hot deal!!

Just to warn y'all. Looks like there is a planned extended edition release for all HP films. Not up to the LOTR specials but extended nonetheless. Just a bit of double dipping by Warner Brothers perhaps but maybe there'll be more to it.;-)

http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/08/12/harry-potter-movies-to-get-rereleased-in-extended-editions/

Having said that under £40 for 6 blu-rays (one a new release which IMO was the best of the series so far) has gotta be hot.
#16

Phone them up and tell them you want your boxset on release date and your £57.91 they've agreed to pay you immediately!! :-D

No idea what the actual issue is there, I'd say give them a call.

Really worth some heat.

I've never seen the point in buying an incomplete box set. I'd rather wait until the entire storyline comes to a conclusion, THEN buy the box set.

Makes much more sense. Until then, I can live without owning the films.

Really? Not sure about that one. Looks like £38.98 to me. If you got it for that then you were lucky.

£34.68 is the price without VAT, so you''re obviously getting confused somewhere and reading the wrong price.

STOP expiring this deal, unless it actually finishes

Just to remind this offer is still available!
