Appreciate the post, but sadly don't have a sat dish, now if it'd been a freeview card....

Got one of these cards and i use DVBViewer with it, very stable and plugins are always being developed for it.

Hi,
Very interested in something like this as i've an old (c.2002) satellite dish on the house...Currently I'm running Vista Home Premium in my HTPC with a Cinergy 2400i Dual DVB-t.
I'm wondering if this would stack with my current DVB-t card (does Vista support two guides?)

Vista doesn't support satellite cards in their native form.

It's possible to "frig" it to work but you won't get an epg.

You can however run more than 2 lots of Freeview in Vista - if you do some fairly simple things with the Registry - I've got 2 dual Freeview cards in my machine so I can record up to 4 channels at once

Had one of these for months from Dell, paid about ten quid less.

Just as good on locking weak signals as a SkyStar 2 which it replaced for DVB-S transmissions including feeds, and the added option of DVB-S2 which I use fairly often these days.

Not really sure if this card is really the best just for average watching of free to air on 28.2e though slightly to pricey.

There are cheaper ways to get BBC and ITV HD right now on the PC, but they wont be as future proof.

Well built though I must say.

Software & manuals are on the web site, Vista appears to be supported:

This card was on Dell for 49.99 (inc P&P) for at least two months now. Then it was reduced to 45 quid (that's when I ordered it). Still waiting for the card to be delivered though - they delayed my order twice.

I'm intrigued by this.
If I have a standard sky minidish and I connect this to it. What could I do with it?

You can watch all the FTA channels (not FTV, as on FreesatfromSky).
