Yep, works perfectly in both XP and Vista Media Centre.

I didn't even have to install any bundled software, just pop the stick in the USB, windows asks for drivers, so I downloaded the latest from Hauppauge and let Windows do it all - So easy :)

This was the only one out of the 3 tuners I tried that was able to install plug'n'play style on both XP and Vista. Plus using my loft arial it picked up almost 20 more stations than the others ;-)

Yep, no remote control with that one.

Anyone know what the picture quality is like with these as I have an old TV with an ariel and it takes ages trying to point the ariel to get good picture. Can you just watch the standard 5 channels with this?

I don't know much about these -
Do you just plug the dongle into any laptop or desktop and you get TV? Or do you still need to connect it up to an aerial cable?

i've got that freecom tuner its ok but only if you've got a decent signal and it runs a bit slow on my laptop, i found the remote a bit cr*p aswell took ages to change the channel

Note that this remote is also Mac compatible if you purchase Elgato's eyeTV software, €60

It needs to be connected to an aerial, though it includes a mini aerial which will give mixed results depending on your location... You also need to install drivers and TV viewing software if not using Windows XP Media Center or Vista Premium.

mine works well on my pc with the little aerial that's inlcuded. On the 3rd fl so I suppose a good reception - I paid £30 for mine a couples months back and haven't regretted it. Hot from me.

I bought one of these for my iMac and it works great. Works on the brilliant EyeTV software and connected to our communal aerial gets all the channels. I personally got it cheaper on Ebay but voted hot as it's still a great deal for those who want one.

This is a great bit of kit :)

I used to use it on Media Centre in Vista but since installing some streaming software for my 360 this now won't work :(
Not their fault though it was the extra sh*tty software I put on

nice spot OP, esp. for a hauppauge tuner

Which remote are you referring to?
Are either of the DVB tuner sticks mentioned here compatible with iMacs using the Elgato software (I didn't think they were)

I used the Dazzle one on Vista and it worked great until I installed BT Digital Vault - at which point my DVD drive stopped working!!! I had to use System Restore and am still trying to sort this out.
I think Vista has a lot of problems with driver conflicts at the minute, where some drivers which were not written for Vista can really screw up your system.
