If you spend any time with reception/primary age girls you will realise that what they like best is garish, cheap-looking tat. You would also learn that trying to improve their 'taste' is pointless, as they hate the tasteful stuff forced upon them. The danger is buying them overpriced tasteless tat in a hurry, rather than reasonably-priced tasteless tat in advance. One of my girls' grandmothers makes Vicki Pollard look sophisticated but they love the cheap, tacky, sparkly, pink rubbish that the belegginged, Croydon-facelifted woman buys in the market and sends through the post much more than any items from the mini Boden catalogue. I have learnt over the years that resistance is futile, counter-productive and expensive.

Says a lot about you and the kind of children you and your kind are raising.

Oh,. and don't ever try to convince me to fill my house with junk because, according to your experience, my child will like it. That is a very poor excuse to buy rubbish, and I'll pass, thanks all the same.

I feel for you, you obviously haven't had a lot in life.

Thanks for the kind words. Funnily enough, we can afford pine but our girls wouldn't like it, so we don't buy it. Strange that.

You ignorant snob. Oh, and your track record of recommending deals for Dairylea Dunkers, Irn Bru and Fry's Turkish Delight hardly makes you look the sophisticate, does it? Weighed yourself lately?

I hope you are just on a wind up, wtf is that comment supposed to mean? You and your kind? Please explain what you mean by this.

Oh an I have just ordered the pink one and blue one for my childrens rooms, guess that says a lot about the "Kind" I am.
