I had to write about this as i know what its like for parents struggling to get a cheap holiday in july and august, i got a quote from butlins for £1300, i shopped around and think ive found a slight glitch, Haven school hols start dates are 24th july, my kids break up on the 18th, so i got a holiay for £401 for 20th july for 7 night in seashore, also you can get half boad for the same price and dates in wales if you live near there.
The next date is the 24th and that jumps up to about £560 or arund there, so take a look, it might be interesting for some people, i have added the link to the quote i got, its also a superior caravan not the basic, the basic works out more for some reason

Good price if you 'have' to go in the school holidays. Although after going to Haven (primrose valley) the other year in a 'superior' caravan I will never be returning. The only saving grace was that we could get out of the park and go to scarborough which was lovely.

Same parent company as Butlins (bourne leisure) but 10 times less enjoyment.

Neither hot or cold from me as some people will definitely beneift from the school holiday 'glitch'.

Cheers for the post.

Yes Nutterburger i agree with you, but the quote from butlins was awful, i do agree soome of these holiday type camps are a bit nasty, i dont do pontins, never would but i have to admit i have been to some very nice haven parks, not a great deal to do which is why we are going to yarmouth so we have all that to do as well, its all for the kids at the end of the day, that get bore dont they in the 6 weeks holidays

I've not yet been to a Haven site simply because we can't afford them, but I think this is definately hot. I ALWAYS book the day before we want to go somewhere and I usually pay £400, so I personally think this is a bargain! :)

Itsgoodtoshare....I do hope you can find a good deal through haven so you can go away this year, there was cheaper if you scout around for a bit on there.

Thanks for tip, i think you are right about the glitch - I just looking for holiday and have booked devon cliffs for 20th July - my kids are off then too. Was loads cheaper than 24th July and standard is more expensive than superior - weird?? anyway, tough for haven now as it is booked! cheers

Good tip. Booked Devon cliffs for 18th July.
Dont know why the kids are breaking up early this year. Normally around 22nd/23rd July.
Anyway, thanks - have some heat & rep!
