Cetirizine Hydrochloride or Loratadine based tablets available.

Good price for a high street store in my opinion.

Great price - for those that don't know Cetirizine & Loratadine are the generic names for the big brand 1 a day hayfever tablets that cost about £5 for 7. The same stuff you can get on prescription if you see your GP for Hayfever.

Do they limit the number you can buy in a single transaction?

Normally pay £2.08 at the pharmacy for CH so this is a good saving :)

Loratadine may be better bet. Don't feel as drowsy when taking it over CH. Good deal.

Yes, probably, don't have the figures to hand though.

Also worth noting you can only get this at the Pharmacy counter, not just off the shelf as in this quantity its classed as Pharmacy Only (P).

May, being the operative word. I find Cetirizine the better of the two as far as side effects are concerned. I take other prescription meds which may be significant, although my GP says there should not be any interaction with either of them.

I get mine for free too, living in Wales :P

Just in time for the hay fever season. Good saving, certainly over the more famous brand name products. Makes the good general point that it is well worth asking your Pharmacist if a generic alternative exists when you are searching out or offered branded medicines. There should be no difference in the quality of the product but someone (the customer!) has to pay for the adverts/pretty pack for the branded one. Cetirizine possibly better antihistamine but somewhat more sedating than Loratadine.

Yep. Slightly cheaper for a 3 month supply at Chemist-4-U but this is the best high street price I've seen by far. Have some heat.

And shorter life expectancy. Swings and roundabouts ;)

Henry1 - these are sold on the general shelf. They come under the GSL (General Sales List) category, not the P (Pharmacy) category. They could be bought at Morrisons Petrol stations, for example, just like paracetamol or ibuprofen.

Quantities of greater than 14 are P, up to 14 is GSL. So these are P.
EDIT: forgive me, I didn't realise they're selling them as 2 packs of 14...
