Think it might have been already posted this deal bud.
But GREAT deal all the same, am with you too, long live HD DVD!!
#2
It is a repost but this time there are more HD DVDs on there and Heroes is back on it !
#3
More? Nah its the same amount, I know because the time the other deal was posted (for Bourne Supremacy I think), I went and clicked on their HDDVD page with all the reductions on, and ummmed and ahhhed over what to stick in me basket for a while and the selection is exactly the same.

T2 wasn't on it, otherwise I would have bought it as it's one I've been after for a while.

Note that these are all are pre-orders due to be despatched after 28th March.

Their prices was even cheaper with some titles a week or so ago ($4.47).

Order in batches of two as shipping will be $9.00 and rises to $18 with 3 dvd's. Don't forget about customs. ;)

Two other Aussie retailers had most of the Universal catalogue on sale, but most of these titles are sold out now.

All my orders have been despatched. :-D
#6
do you have to pay any customs charges ??? if so what is the value limit you can order before custom charges are added?

roughtly how much is delivery. my internet connection is really slow right now.

Anything over £18 will incur a customs fee. Aussie dollar is around 2.1, but will fluctuate by the time these are charged. Best not to exceed $30.

As I stated above, order in batches of two to be safe.
#8
You received your films from them yet?
Tempted to get the kingdom and something else but not sure how reliable they are?
#9
Ordered 24 at Christmas from US and was charged 8.00 in customs, so that put me off buying any more.
#10
$9.92 + $9.92 + $9.50shipping = $29.34 (or if they send the items out seperate I think they charge you $9.50 for each one sent out, not sure)

+ credit card conversion
+ maybe getting hit by customs (how much would customs charge ?)

A lil risky

My orders which have been despatched are from DVD Crave. Should hopefully get them this week.

Any order placed from EzyDVD won't be despatched for another month at least.

You'll be fine. When you go through the order process, there's an option to add a note to the order. Just put "mark as gift or please don't exceed £18 value for customs" and they'll do it.

Shipping costs won't be shown on it. It's only $4.50 for every pre-order, but for some reason if you order 3 in one order it jumps to $18.

Says all available from 28th March?

That said, I don't quite understand how it works.

Up to now, I've got in my basket a total of $133.74AUD which is 10 DVDs, one being the Bourne Collection.

So I'm not understanding how the shipping works? The pre-order bit is confusing me.

You need to split up your orders in batches of two.

If you want the Bourne Collection, you need to order this completely seperately from everything else.

Ahh right I see.

And I'm understanding that if I order now, I shouldn't expect my order until April considering it says Available 28th March?

Correct. The beauty of it is that you can cancel your order from your account at any time, so if these titles are available anywhere else for similar prices or cheaper.
#20
I put 2 orders in each containing 2 titles

I went for

Terminator 2
Out of Sight
Carlito's Way
First Blood

Excellent deal

Ahh thanks.

Still debating if I want to order. Considering it takes a while for delivery and plus it's only the beginning of March.

Not only that, I can't say I quite trust them. Doesn't look that promising.
#22
i wouldnt bother - by april id say all UK retailers will have HD-DVDs for around £5.00

You're probably right. GS/CEX are already doing pre-owned ones for around the £8 margin which isn't too bad, plus the discs themselves are scratch free as they use the disc repair service. Although as to how bad they are on the discs is another thing.

I saw Planet Earth and Mission Impossible boxset going for £25 each at CEX. Might picked them up since they're already going for around that price on eBay.

Still voted hot for those who are willing to wait! Good prices, although the shipping hikes it up a little. Wish I had known about the DVDCrave sale!

absolutely, this is not the time to rush into ordering from Oz, the firesale in the UK hasn't begun yet - except for hardware.

All the retailers will want to quickly clear HD DVD out to simplify High Def for their customers. There will be a lot of cheap stuff in April / May.

Thought I'd done alright this afternoon on Fleabay won, Black Rain, Full Metal Jacket and Swordfish. All sealed £0.99 + £2.00 p&p. Just had a message from seller sorry not selling these dvd`s for 99p... i`m not stupid....i`d rather car boot them...
Yes there cheap ! but that's the risk you take on the Bay. Nob !
#26

What a jackass. Although if it was me, I would've offered him like £10 inc. for all 3.

I hope you will leave negative feedback and report him to ebay for non-selling performance

Must have sold out then and they got more in stock or something.

i'm gonna wait until april/may as others have advised > i'd prefer to purchase from the UK rather than overseas > previous items have gotten lost & customs is a real pain especially if the seller doesnt mark the item as a gift [happened on my last order; luckly the seller paid it :) ]

Trouble is with negative feedback is the seller will just retaliate with neg and these are three different sales so x 3 negatives. I'm to proud of my 100% reputation to take the risk. Ebay should have the power to issue neg f/b in this instance.

Ebay are shortly changing the rules - sellers cannot leave feedback only buyers.

Open a dispute but make sure you don't close it until you win it. Then you can neg him without retalliation.
#35
Hot deal for those already in posession for HD DVD player.

Might as well make the most of it.
#36

It's difficult to say if and when we'll see price cuts on HD DVD in the UK. Even when they do drop, can't see them dropping for anything like £5 each yet.

Some titles (mainly Universal) have dropped in the US as little as $9.99 at some retailers. Amazon.com cheapest being $12.99. Amazon Germany had them at 10 Euro's, now 12 Euro's.

This isn't widespread as the price of other studio's is still pretty much same as before.

The titles in Australia have been the most cost effective with delivery charges so far. The one's I ordered cost around £5.50 each including delivery.
#38
That 28th march thing is putting me off

Long live hd-dvd mind you
#39
