There's a lot of HD DVD selling at £1.99 at 101cd.com.

I know people will say it's a dead format but If you still own a HD DVD player or an XBOX 360 HD player then this is a good deal.

The following titles are £1.99 delivered and are new and in-stock

Mr Beans Holiday
40 Year Old Virgin
Pride & Prejudice
Backdraft
Doom
Twelve Monkeys
Dantes Peak
Skelton Key
Spartacus
Bourne Supremacy
Hitcher
Daylight

You obviously do not love a bargain

Pity I have all those!

Overpriced definately, but may be of use to some people with HD-DVD players or the Xbox add-on.

Not voting either way.

Some HD titles have both HD and normal DVD on the same disc, (e.g. "Hotel Babylon") so you can play them on a normal DVD player. But I think these duel formats are very few.

have to say two days ago i would said simillar thing. but then educated by some nice people here that HD-drive for xbox is very cheap these days and also can be used as an external player for your computer. now that i see such a low prices for HD movies, i am very tempted to buy an HD player and enjoy cheap but high quality movies. so hot for me:thumbsup:

Aside from the Matrix trilogy I have everything I would have bought anyway, a friend gave me Flags of our Fathers the other week for completism, from now on I'll buy blu for HD even though in some cases quality isn't up to the same standard.

DVDs are overpriced. So are Blu-Rays. Where are you going with this? I'm saying these HD-DVDs are overpriced considering I've seen them much cheaper elsewhere - both online and in stores.

#27
Don't all jump on me in spitefulness just because you invested in this format. I'm done.

Yeah I'm devastated about the dead format.

I didn't even buy a HD DVD player or any HDDVD's until the format war was lost, I can say I'mreally upset that I spent £20 on the player and on average £2 each for the 37 HDDVDs I own, so about £100 total investment in my HD DVD collection.

Alternatively I also have a first generation Bluray player at about £300 and 12 blurays which have cost me in the region of £60 (6 free with the player) so I know which format offers me the best value for money.

Don't jump on us because you invested in the expensive format!
#39
Thanks for to the op for heads up. I've ordered a few HD-DVDs. It may be a "dead" format now, but for £1.99 each its still worth buying them.
#40
I love it that all these retailers have held on to this stock forever and have refused to lower their prices, then they have a meeting and decide "IT'S FINALLY TIME TO GET RID OF THE HD DVD'S AS IT'S A DEAD FORMAT SO LETS LOWER THE PRICE".....

Follow Comet's lead and sell for 1p
