A cautionary note , that some reviewer says he can't get 1080p out of it............they look a bit like a Linx rip off - though they have superior, fatter braided cabling http://www.amazon.co.uk/LINX-HDMI-Cable-Premium-Plated/dp/B000H8TQL4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1245660345&sr=1-1

yes one reviewer (there is only one review) said he had trouble with 1080p so you have been warned by the above poster..

Since this cable's not marked as 'high speed', it's not been tested for 1080p content. You take your chances I suppose...

i had the same issue with the cheap ones from 7day shop
fine for the 360 on HDMI 1.2 @ 1080p but the PS3 would just black out
spent a tenner on a HDMI 1.3 cable from an amazon seller

I'm sorry, but you must be mistaken.
Everytime an HDMI offer is posted to HDUK, the throngs of "experts" come from under their rocks to lecture us that the cheapest, nastiest cable from is exactly the same as any other cable, and that gold plating makes absolutely no difference.

the ps3 is really fussy with hdmi cables.. i have to keep re-trying video set up and turning the ps3 off to force it to accept certain cheap cables.. it is possible but takes a while..

don't know why this is the case..

well i fiddled for ages (no not that)
and went from not even being able to select 1080p to getting it but having the display black out
for a tenner its not worth the agro not ot buy

I got this cable from DX just to try it out because it was so cheap and I must say I can't fault it.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.24546

Build quality seems very good and the cable is quite thick.

Haven't tried it on 1080p though sorry.

Works on 360 and ps3 with no problems.

2 m = 6 ' 6".

Great price, cheapest I have seen a 2m cable was in" instore"£3.99 ex Woolworths stock,
even if not highest quality, ideal for hooking up a dvd recorder or something like a
Panasonic s97 that upscales standard dvds.
