Burn many DVD's? Thuis DVD player comes with all the abilites to upscale your bought DVD's to a 'close to' HD quality.

That said, the main reason that I reccommend it is the USB port. Since buying mine over a year ago I have saved a fortune on blank DVD's because all I do now is to transfer my files to Flash drive and view directly on my DVD player.

Cracking job!

I got this notice from the Northern Ireland flyer, but I'm sure it's on the Mainland UK flyer also.

Not with anything near the same features you can't!

The cheapest has No HDMI and no DIvX/MP4
Even the Toshiba one at £39.95 has no HDMI

Nice to know people READ the post before making opinions, as I said

Yes and Yes

I got one when it was £20. I've had no issues with it (although it does get a little warm - hopefully that won't hurt the life of it too much)
it plays avi/divx/xvid and will play also play 4.3GB of mp3 loaded as data on DVD (one of the reasons I bought it, as my 'brand name' Philips wouldn't)

so far, so good, as far as the brand goes, but not the best price I've seen for it

I don't believe the previous one at £20 had HDMI output and upscaling.

Lidl NI is a subsidiary of Lidl Eire and has nothing to do with Mainland UK Lidl. The offers are totally different.

Where the hell is Eire? You English make me laugh, you are the only ones call it that.

Not in any way getting territorial here, but it 1938 your government didn't want to refer to the new "Irish Free State" as such so passed an ACT stating it would be referred to as Eire, even going as far as to drop the fada off the E so that it didn't look Irish. The ACT was abolished in 1981.

I'm always amazed when I see it still referred to it as Eire.

Who're you calling English? :?

I typed Eire because it's quicker, just like I'd refer to The Netherlands incorrectly as Holland.
Only people from Derry have such a chip on their shoulder about place names. :p

You lot can't help yourselves can you? Even on a deals forum. Bring on a united Ireland, if only to keep this nonsense off HotUKDeals!

Erm, I'm from Londonderry so does that mean i must have a chip on my shoulder too?

And have a look at the site's name - hotUKdeals, did you notice the UK in the title. So living in Northern Ireland gives us as much right to post on this forum as you! And you can stick your United Ireland where the sun don't shine i'm afraid!!!!!;-)

Good post by the way OP, bought one of these a few months back and still working perfectly.

It is also a very OLD one, and has since been selling for ten quid less than that local to me for some time, so why you choose to resurrect this thread is a mystery to me, and no doubt others! :?
