Good deal, been looking for one of these.

You may want to put "corner/right angle adapter" in the title.

Good deal. I'm in no hurry for them so DX is fine!

Just what I needed, thanks OP 8)

Also good for side HDMI sockets to immediately turn the HDMI lead back behind the telly rather than sticking rudely straight out the side. Hot from me!

Do check it's the RIGHT 90degree - eg I think most TV edges sockets require a 270degree bend!

Personally I'd buy a complete cable as there will be less weight/stress applied to the socket, eg see this earlier posting

Love the 'feature list':

- Extend the reach of your HDMI device

Yeah, by <1 inch.

- Preserve original video quality

Well it's digital, it either works or it doesnt, so if it didnt 'preserve the quality' then it would be not working at all and hence completely pointless.

this is a great little item at a good price , would the extra connection possibly degrade the image ?

I'm looking to get a "premium digital experience", so does anyone know where I can get a version of this in the £60 to £100 price range, maybe by AudioQuest or similar. Possibly sold to me by a oily commission based salesperson in Dixons or PC World?

Does anyone know of a similar shaped 2 pin power adaptor (as in slim ps3 rear) available anywhere?

Hi.

It's not a "Male to Female" - it's a "Female to Female" but at an angle..............!

If you see what I mean........?

Just to clarify for anyone thinking of buying one:
Horizontal HDMI Input = cable goes down
Vertical HDMI Input = cable goes left

For example, a horizontal HDMI input on the back of a TV means the cable will drop down and a vertical HDMI input on the back of a TV means the cable will go left (or right as viewed from the front of the TV).

I use these and they are great. They're 1.3 at least, but might not work with all devices. Mine doesn't work with my Xbox for instance. I also use a Panasonic Free-Angle HDMI Cable which has a swivel head so I can pretty much connect it at any angle. It's more expansive, but fills a particular need that the adapter can't.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago, works a treat - stops my HDMI cable connector bending under it's own weight

good enough for 1.4a?

I did a quick Google about HDMI 1.4 but couldn’t find any info regarding this adapter’s compatibility with 1.4. HDMI 1.4 info below

The HDMI 1.4 specification adds support for extremely high video resolutions that go far beyond today’s 1080p systems. 4K is shorthand for 4,000 lines wide by 2,000 lines high, or roughly four times the resolution of a 1080p display. The term actually covers two formats, both supported in the HDMI 1.4 specification:

•3840 pixels wide by 2160 pixels high
•4096 pixels wide by 2160 pixels high
