Do these make the Xbox 360 picture quality any better?

I am currently using a Samsung 32" HD television with the Xbox 360 plugged in via Component.

I have it set on HD and all that but I was just wondering if it is worth buying one of these if there is a noticable picture improvement.

Cheers

I bought this last month. Good product and very sturdy. Bit small, but for £3, it's a bargain. About the cheapest one on Amazon that hasn't had any reviews for major faults
#8
oh wow, it's gold as well, that means it'll be a better signal.

hehehe.

Yes, it really does. I used component for the first time the other day and it was such a step down.

I read an article a while ago that came to the conclusion that unlike analogue cables, digital cables give the same quality whether they cost 50p or 50 pounds. Of course everybody who spent £50 will disagree strongly with this conclusion :whistling:

OP updated with the new higher price & unexpired :)

I honestly got 4 delivered (1 metre) for £2:58p delivered at tea time from Amazon.

(somat like 40p each plus delivery)
#15
anyone have a link for a similar priced one that is 2m or 3m?
#16
Purchased the exact same lead for 98p (inc. postage) from the same supplier last month.
#17
I bought some of these when they were cheaper (cant remember how much they were) and there really is nothing wrong with these. I bought a few spare in case.

After reading many comments earlier this evening, I learned

a, try to buy the shortest cable possible (to increase picture quality)

b, Dirt cheap cables are just as good as anything (somat about digital transfer)

search - hdmi cable

throws up some for 50p (£6 for 4 delivered)
#20
Cold as ice.

You can buy them for less than this in many, many places.

Yes, but you may as well get the 1.8m HDMI cable from the Amazon marketplace seller for £1.50 delivered. Good quality cable and will be no worse than this £4 one.

From <1 -5m the quality will not change at all. Apparently it's only >5m when cable quality may ever come into play. Even then, I bought a cheap 10m HDMI cable and the picture still looks stunning at 1080p on a 42" TV

That's a bit of a different question. While you're right in the sense a cheap hdmi cable will work as well as a mega expensive one, component cables are analogue and don't transmit as well as HDMI. Of course it depends on whether your tv can take hdmi.

was posted here (a link within a post) can`t see it now as the link is dead, and it was 95p not 98p,

Good price even with the price increase.
Although is there any other coated hdmi that are better???

Heat added btw.

There's plenty of choice cheaper than this, +cold.
#26
Definitely not worth £29.99, Digital is either on or off and gold plated means nothing on HDMI cables.. Anyone who says otherwise is in self denial. COLD.
#27
The gold plating only serves to stop corrosion (like that's a problem in the modern home), and to draw suckers in to overly expensive cables.

Cold.
#28
About the right sort of price for an HDMI cable, £29.99 is ludicrous. Lukewarm
#29
Cold - not long enough.

+1

Why pay £3.99 for something, when something for £1.51 (which is longer) will do the job the same.

last few cheap cables ive got have been very susceptible to interference giving bad picture quality. chose your cables wisely.

Absolutely right. If this was ever £29.99 then only a mug would have bought it. Save yourselves some money and get one on ebay.

where are all these idiots coming from today. I have this exact cable bought for around this price and its lasted years (constantly pulled out). Had a couple of cheapo ebays ones and they fall to bits after a few uses and get noticeable interference when my 5:1 system is on..
#38
I can't belive this is so hot. £3.99 is not special.

The 7DayShop ones are also well built, £2.29 at the moment, and 1.5m. I paid £1.99 last month (from a HotUKDeals post).

brrrrrrrrr - agree with the others, I have a number of cables for a quid and cant see the point in spending any more than you need to
