Decent pair of skis IMO. I bought the Head 76's last season and was delighted with their performance. They left the other in my group standing. Head do have some technology features in the more expensive models but these should be great for beginner and probably far better than the rental models.Heat added. Nice find.

Any idea how much it would cost to get these boots properly fitted by the likes of Snow and Rock or Ellis Brigham

Not a bad deal - shame there is no proper boot fitting/adjustment included

Thats a good price but would have to go skiing 3 times to pay this off and by that stage you might wish you had better equipment. Could always buy this and then sell down the line.

Its worth getting your boot size measured in a proffessional shop before ordering this deal.

In that case that means you a a PRO-skier, this means it is not the right equipment for you.
It is difficult to measure ski abilities. I started skiing early (when i was little kid) and this winter when i went to ski i nearly ended up in hospital. Came on icy surface and made a nice show for everyone. I hurt my back really badly.
My point is that if you always go to big ski resorts with perfect snow you might think that you are a good skier but trying different types of snow will teach you a lesson. Not every snow is the same.

If you go skiing regularly and have spare cash than you need to look for better equipment.
This is pure medium equipment I would say.

I've been skiing for a few years and there's nothing on or off the piste that will worry me much unless there's lots of rocks and steps greater than 40 degrees.

That said, I wouldn't have any trouble using these skins on the piste, icy or not as how you deal with ice is down to sharp edges and technique, not how fancy or advanced your skis are!
