Just found these trainers after searching for a pair that I don't mind getting a bit muddy and ruined during the winter months. For £10 they seem a bargain, even if they are not the greatest brand for footwear.

is it worth risking injury on poor quality running shoes?
not a gamble I would take

If you open both links, the pages are EXACTLY the same except the top of one says field and trak and the other sports direct, looks like two companies are really one, and I believe the Head shoes are £5 instore only

Agree entirely, for running shoes, the general rule is the more they cost, the better they are, personally I wont pay less than £60 for a running shoe unless they have been reduced for real, and not charged a higher amount for 28 days prior to discount, as you should all know that is a false sale practice

At £10 or £18 to me these are a bargin do they really look like a running trainer you do the marathon in, these are off road trail running shoes,Head as a company are one of the biggest in the sports industry, not well know in the uk but in europe and states very big brand

Didn't know Head made 'running' shoes?

Buy proper running shoes, as others have said, it's not worth risking your knee joints.

Always buy the best you can afford when it comes to running.

Sports Direct (or Mike Ashley) does indeed own Field and Trek

I got these today very comfy and surprisingly well made for the money! Remember P&P is the same no matter how many pairs you order, or least it was when I went via amazon.

same ones, dope. Its the same shop.

Got these delivered and they ain't half bad.

You're not going to be able to run a marathon in them, but they'll do for casual jogging over mud and grass. Or, even as just a pair of trainers to wear on a daily basis as they don't look too bad to be honest.

P.S - Mascherano, why are you so angry, they're just trainers!? Do you really need to call someone a dope just because they have shared an opinion or comment? I don't think so!

Mascherano before you insult someone check what they are saying!!!!. these are differnt shoes to the £5 ones posted earlier. I know the shops are the same but the shoes are not now who is the dope you are !!!!!!!!!!!! Think before you relpy and insult OK.

Used these trainers for my BMF session tonight, which is basically an hour of running on grass and mud up and down hills, and they were fine. I was worried they may trigger my shin splints, but they didn't and they felt comfortable throughout the session. If anyone is looking at getting a pair, my only word of warning would be that the sizing seems a bit out, I got a pair of size 10's but they seem much bigger than my other trainers (about an inch to 1 and 1/2 inches bigger), other than that, for £10 they are great!

not a very clever thing to do mate, shin splints are an absolute nightmare and you just put yourself at terrible risk of aggravating them.
