Anyless they had a HTC Desire I would hold offf buying a HTC android right now. September 15th HTC are announcing a bunch of new phones means all the current stock will naturally drop in price.

If you're keen you can get the Hero from 3 for £160 (-£12 Quidco) and get it unlocked for about £6 off eBay. I have both Pulse and Hero and the Hero beats the Pulse on everything but screen size.

Blackberry 8520 for £119.99 with 6 months free internet and push email. I would say it is very good price.
#13
are the prices stated with the 20% discount or does it come off in checkout.
#14
the new 20% discount will be shown at 10am
#15
That Blackberry is a good deal, but all the phones are previous generation stock they want to get rid of.

Nokia 2730 is a well made 3G phone.

For £39.99+£10 (minus £10 topcashback) it is well worth it.

6 months free internet and so perfect for tethering.

Even if it doesn't give one. It uses a standard microUSB connector. It does say in the link below, the phone includes a "Nokia Connectivity Cable CA-100".

http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/devices/nokia-2730-classic/specifications.

Yes T&Cs probably say something against tethering. But they can't tell. Just don't go too far over the 1GB fair use limit.

If you're looking to just use the internet, a 3G dongle would probably be better.

Agree - the Pulse Mini is the same price instore (will it was as of last week) where they were going for £79.99 (not including the additional top-up of £10.00p).

what i dont like is you have to buy £10 top up to get the phones at these prices:(
#22
many thanks for this

just ordered a T-Mobile Vairy Text for £33.99 (last time the 20% sale was on (4 months ago?) it was £59.99 reduced to £47.99.

It seems to be based on the Alcatel ot-800 however as a back -up phone it cant be beaten, with some good reviews around too.

For the £33.99 I hope to get £10 back off quidco (if it tracks ok), £10 top up, a 2gb memory card and 6 months free internet (worth £20) , I may even get unlimited texts for one month.

Cheapest I've seen is either argos for £39.99 (but no £10 quidco) while E2save have the Alcatel Ot-800 for £49.95 on orange (its probably unlocked but with £7.50 on quidco) but i dont think it will have the 6 months free internet or the 2gb memory card.
