Just to let people know that there is a sale at Go Outdoors re Cycling gear. Friday for one day only.
50% off rrp - some good deals to be had, I know you need to spend a daft £5 on membership.
Not bothered about the voting system - this is for info purposes.

Sounds promising. The Runners sale wasn't 50% off everything like it claimed to be. But it was still good. I wonder what will be in scope for this?

Hmm this sounds interesting :) I've got tomorrow afternoon off work, might have to take a wander over there.

It's for selected items, I suppose?
Is it going to show me the deals without the membership?

Now if the 50% fishing sale finished midnight just gone, why have they still got it advertised on the main page and not started with the cycling goodness!!! :( grrr I missed out on the 50% climbing sale the other day, but Go Outdoors sale items do tend to be good deals generally, so this should be good :D

I notice that the Sealskinz Beanie is not in the cycling section online. I was instore on Thursday and picked one up from the cycling section and asked for price on Friday and was told rrp £23 so £11.50 which is good as cheapest I know is £17.50.

Also seen Saris Bones but the manufactuer site is rubbish re which bikes it fits. Might have to buy and try.

The Raleigh AIRlite road bikes look a really good price - AIRlite 100 for £250 and AIRlite 200 for £300.

Retail prices on bikes are way inflated. Still good deals though.. better on racing than mountain. Agree the airlite prices are cracking. 100 can be found for 250 but only on ebay.

I am thinking about going for the DiamondBack Peak HD Bike or Claud Butler Cape Wrath (both hydraulic). The DiamondBack (RRP £449) is online as well as instore but the CB is in my local at RRP £489.

Anyone know if either of these are any good?

I was also planning on getting the Park Tools Maintainance stand but it seems to have been removed from online list. That is naughty if true.
Ah, removed if out of stock. Did notice stock was low (i.e. 3) on most items. It's a race OR back to local store who will have three in.

I went in last night on the way home from work and was at the till trying to buy some bike lights. The girl looks and me like I'm a bit simple and says "Do you know there is a 50% off all cycling sale tomorrow?".
    "Ah, no I didn't."
She was going to keep them back for me, but I'm not 100% sure I can get back over there today.
    10/10 for customer service!

Hah, the site cannot take the pressure:)

Some good prices,Giro indicator £17.50 is a bargain I paid £28 on tuesday for it.Unfortunately at the moment site is unusable.

What a con! Not ALL cycling gear is 50% off RRP. Camelbak is only 10% off.
    bargainhunter666
Must admit there were some great prices to be had, instore was the place to go. Camelbak is not cycling gear in two of the stores I will now use so I didn't try and get 50% off. I wanted two items that were clearly in cycling and after a brief discussion with manager I got the 50% off.
Camelbak is listed as cycle on website so I agree the term ALL just shouldn't be used.

I was considering getting this cycle rack LINK as it works out much cheaper than anywhere else. Fortunately I found some reviews on Amazon LINK before making the mistake of placing the order.
