Not only is it proven to help burn body fat, increase of good cholesterol and lower blood pressure but it can also improve your mood and reduce your chances of suffering from depression. Seventy percent of the UK population do little or no exercise and this increases the risk of a heart attack or stroke.

Research shows that moderate exercise for 30 minutes a day is all you need to bring real health benefits. Whatever your reasons or getting more active, a heart rate monitor lets you know how hard you are working so you can alter the intensity of your workout to make sure you're exercising at a safe and efficient level.

Check you're working hard enough with the Lloydspharmacy Heart Rate Monitor.

Tempted but it seems a bit too good to be true at that price, is it really going to be accurate? I'd like to read some reviews or something first, hmm.
#3
I got one of these at xmas and am very happy with it.
I have checked the at accuracy (buy counting the 15 seconds heart beats X 4 ) and
it was reading very close to that, rest and excersise.
P&P? I picked mine up in store.

Brilliant. Ordered one. Heat added.

Anyone know of comparable deals on HRM's?
With summer around the corner and training for loads of charity events these would be useful.

I had one of these, was very good and quite accurate with heart rates. But for me the battery in the watch ran out very quickly (i.e. I think I bought it in August/September and by christmas the watch was no longer working), whether this is because it has broken or because It needs a new battery im not sure....

And for the price of a new battery it may be worth getting a new set!

They had these Polar F3 watches on clearance in store at Boots in Gloucester on the weekend....

£12 reduced from £45. Its a better known brand and the watch is a lot smaller (I also have one of the lloyds pharmacy ones)

They had 20 or so on the shelf in Boots,

Hope it helps,

i bought one of these 2 weeks ago.

Used it once and took it back to shop. It was totally useless for me. The numbers on the watch are just too small to see when you are running, the button to show the backlight was too small to press when running.

A good watch but no good for running.

Good price, they seem to pretty consistantly have good offers at Lloydspharmacy

I got what looks to be the same one from Argos a year or so ago, the belt works fine with gym equipment, the watch is awful and i never use it.
#12
Think the model is Target K901 - no longer available in Argos by the looks.
#13
To save the delivery price pick up instore. I thought I mentioned is available online for people who live far from a Lloyds pharmacy.....

If the model is the Target Fitness K901 it was £25 in argos and they're not available anymore (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3028223/Trail/searchtext%3EHEART+MONITOR.htm)

Apologies - searched Argos on K901 yesterday and no hits. I know they were there because I got mine off ebay with no instructions and then got one from Argos, copied instructions and returned unused.

Has anyone else had any joy with getting this at Boots. Had a couple left in my local Boots but was ringing up at £44.50.

The Argos one has more featues inc calorie counter.
I know my wife has both, still a good price though!
