Hi. I have O2 broadband and the standard o2 router. My room is up in the loft and I get only 1 bar of wifi. Will this hopefully increase the wifi bars if I replace the old O2 router?

Or use it as a repeater as someone mentioned above. Thank you

Ok can someone explain why people buy these things. I always get one from my ISP and if it broke I would get them to send me another one. So why buy this?

To extend my current wireless network.
So is this a complete waste of money? I am thinking of buying one as a backup incase I have problems with my D-Link. From the comments I probably would be better off without one.

See my above reply. I waited a month for sky to send a new one.....it was broke too, so then i had to wait another month. In those two months i didn't even have the option to use my own router because of their T&C's. Plus the ISP provided ones are pretty mediocre.
