Not sure about the price but the demo was a little odd. I don't know if it's a grower.

The game will be awesome, that's not really up for dispute. :)

Looks amazing to me... this on the PS3 and then Alan Wake on the xBox.... both look sweet

Which offer online is best for it to be delivered on Friday?

Or would I be best going into a shop to get it on Friday?

This is what I am wondering, this looks like the best so far price wise but I'm not sure of DVD.co.uk's reputation in that area. Shopto are fabulous though and it is only an extra £1 from there plus Quidco.

I ordered a copy from Very a couple of weeks ago for £30 but I still haven't received any kind of dispatch update yet. In my case I would need it by Wednesday or Thursday though this week as I'm going away for the weekend on Friday. The estimated delivery date for my Very order is 1/3/2010 so I may just end up waiting it out. :-(

Really excited about this after the demo! With FFXIII out in 2 weeks i'm going to wait til this drops sub £25 to get it though.

I think you could be waiting for a while unfortunately, it seems to be climbing now as the release date becomes closer as opposed to falling which is what usually happens.

i just ordered this from Game - we get a deal through work but it comes through at £36.39 so only a few pennies saved.

I really enjoyed the demo, like you i think the price might stay high on this one...

Yeah some games retain their value for a long time, mostly multiplayer titles like L4D and MW but occasionally you get a single player game that does the same, Assassin's Creed 2 being one example at the moment.

I have a feeling that this one will go the same way, at least for the next few months.

A few people on the GamesTM forum have said the same thing, apparently they usually send those emails when they have only just started to process your order for dispatch though which is why they quote 2-5 days for delivery.

Yeah I do keep an eye on these things.
Totally not bothered! I'm going to be playing FFXIII for months anyway!

I'm still in two minds as to whether or not to get that, I know that if I bought it then I probably wouldn't finish it since chances are that it probably needs an investment of around 100+ hours.

Yeah I hear it's minimum 45hours just to get through the basics. I'm a die-hard FF fan so i'm going to be there all the way!

What deal through work?

I know it's a pound more. But Game have dropped their price to £37.95. only ordered with them because of Game points and Quidco. They generally good service.

Played the demo....... and yawn...... where's the gameplay?

Lovely graphics and atmosphere, but really poor voiceacting and script and absolutely zero gameplay. I'll buy this for £5 when it hits the bargain bins.

btw, not voted either way :)

£5???? No chance!
The gameplay is the moving around and actions. Surely you can't say the fight scene was boring? It was action packed with gameplay!

Had no problems with the voiceacting either.

The QTE in the fight was the peak of the gameplay - along with the DNA scanning FBI bit. To me that was incredibly shallow, now matter how prettily it was dresssed up. That is barely "gameplay" IMO.

Lots of the gameplay involved opening car doors, or other doors....yawn. Truly one of the more boring demos I've played. Shame really, as it was graphically very impressive.

Voice acting was stilted, but I could live with it if there was a game there under the "movie" :?

Personally I thought the demo was a work of brilliance to be honest and I can't wait for the full version but this does seem to be a real 'marmite' title, a bit like Bioshock 2 in that respect.
