Why is that then?

Nice to see more Tameside HUDers out there!

Wait for theinevitable drop to £15 - £20 within a month. All ps3 titles drop like a stone quickly.

Looks like a decent game though will pick up in the next few weeks when its under £20.

Keep dreaming on a price drop.
Something tells me that Heavy Rain will maintain the £39.99 benchmark (à la Modern Warfare 2) very well.
I'll have HP sauce on my hat if I have to eat it.

No copies of Heavy Rain in stock near me and cannot find the Duel Charging Dock on their website.

Awesome game! Loving it!
#11
I just got the controller for £2.49:)

Didnt have any copys of Heavy Rain.

Heavy Rain is the second best game i've played after uncharted 2.

I prefer Xbox 360 for gaming but Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain are the best games I have ever played, PS3 exclusives too!

The replay value, to the average gamer, is zero. It will be trading in by the bucketload. The online of MWII means it doesn't get traded too often.

I reckon it'll be down to £17.99 within a month or 2 :p. It'll sell well for a new IP, but i can see sales figures slowly dropping over the next 2 months before retailers decide to put it on offer. Very few games hold their value these days, nothing suggests this will no matter how good it is, afterall, even the best PS3 games (with the exception of Uncharted 2) have dropped/been made platinum extremely quickly.

cracking game, going to wait for this to drop in price before getting it

No USB ports on the back. The front ones are incredibly inconvenient, I dont want a wire looping round the front of my ps3 :|

Suppose i could always find a usb adapter to plug into the mains.

OH's birthday in May, he's been dropping hints when ever he can for this game! Must admit the trailer and demo were stunning

Oh ok. Have you looked at your tv in that case as most modern tvs have usb port.

None of the ps3s have usb ports on the back.

Just use your pc.

Absolute brilliant game, second best game of the gen after Uncharted 2.

ive been playing this game allday today and yea its intresting , but i wish i hadnt spent £35 on it , ive got more pleasure out of sonics allstar racing , tell you the truth

heavy rain is just diffrent which makes it intresting but i wouldnt even say it was a game , if you played resident evil 5 where you had to hit the buttons on time , the games just like that , but gets boring very quickly
#21
This will definately be sub £20 within 2 month guranteeed. Look at MGS, Killsone 2 the resistance games, LBP. Sony exclusive titles drop like a stone in value.
#22
Can't agree, like its predecessor its nice not to be mindlessly hammering buttons and the like as another MW2 clone. Shame its not out on the 360.
#23
It's "dual" not "duel"!!!

Doesnt have a passive power output unfortunately, so once the tv is on standby it doesnt charge.

Started playing this today (rented) and its a great game , i avoided readin all the above comments in case some smart alec decides to reveal the killer . I successfully made the little oragami bird whilst still hungover and Blockbusters aren't getting that back !
During the install the insctructions come up on how to make it and it has a clue which I think i need to use at some point in the game .

MW2 clone? So clearly the original battlefield series and GRAW copied off MW and MW2 amirite? -.-

I hate it when people think that CoD is the be all and end all of FPS games, the only reason its successful is because of the new innovations in CoD 4, ever since then its gone way downhill.

Personally I think the Bad Company series is light years ahead of any CoD game.
#27
Anyone remember fahrenheit for the 1st xbox ??? quite clearly this game aint as unique as it's being made out to be.

still a good deal with the charging station i suppose but in my opinion spend your money avp or mw2 instead.
#28
With no replay value they are heavily reliant on the DLC keeping the price up. Can see this dropping quickly
#29
typical just bought it from there at dinnertime
#30
A seriously seriously BRILLIANT game.....Great deal with the charger. You just have to buy this game. best I have played in a VERY long time!!!!!

Erm I was saying this game (Heavy Rain) makes a nice change from all the mindless FPS games that come out (MW2 being the latest) - no more. And I don't think MW2 is the be all and end all - own it but its like any other FPS with very little difference bar a couple of clever minor changes.

Course there is/are the 1942 etc series that are/were decent. I'm just saying this makes a nice change from the borefests that we normally see.

My advice is don’t buy this game go “rent it”, I had it a week early, 3 people in our house finished it in less than a week, the game lasts about 9/12 hours , if you want to buy it there will be plenty of pre-owned in the game shops in the next couple of week.

Don't get me wrong, we all enjoyed the game but it's got very little replay value.

Quantic Dream made Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain (and Nomad Soul) so it's an evolution on the same unique ideas. It's different, forward thinking and very well executed. It is likely to be cheaper sooner rather than later however but maybe only £24.99-29.99.

And its the last of the trilogy.

Buy it, developers deserve the money so that more great games can be made like this one. Otherwise it's Nintendo Wii for all of us.

Lol now worries :-D

I was going to get this yesterday but then I realized the free charging station trick only works if you reserve online, I got out my iPhone and tried to do a online reserve in store, got to the last screen and my battery died. Fantastic!

But will pick up tomorrow :-D

always the way mate

Waiting for this to saturate and tank. Hot though.
