guess then not in the UK?
#11
£6 is about the right price for these.

Never worth £12, plus they involve too much faffing about (loads of foam to start with, then 2/3rds through it gets a bit flat, and then not all of it will come out!!!!).
#12
none in berwick
#13
so this works out at around 9 pints of heineken for 6 quid, this will get hot if nation wide
#14
I may be dense but how do you chill this?

:-D It's a fair size to stick in your fridge. Not exactly ideal is it. I guess you don't need to eat with a gallon of beer to go at!
#19
excellent price for a good lager - never had one go flat on me before. Never had the chance!
#20
seriously hoping this is nationwide.
#21
you need a big fridge by the way - or you need to remove some of the shelves for this big boy.

bought a few of these when they have been on offer previously, fits in my american style fridge freezer no probs.
#23

This is store specific so why are people voting it hot..

Wish people would read the thread before voting rather than just looking at the pic and price and assuming!
#27
wouldnt bother with these

I got one once and total waste of time. I'd say it pours about quarter a pint of lager and the rest foam. I thought it would be just like that at the top or summit but its pretty much the whole lot. Have to let the pints settle for ages before they are even half drinkable.

Only ever bought one like but that was my experience from it!

Happy days I'l pop in there this evening..Have some H&R:thumbsup:

Are you not allowed to vote hot if its a local deal only-I've never seen that rule anywhere-wish people would not assume others do not know how to read:geek:
#30
these things take up a lot of fridge space, but you can always just take out a shelf for a day or so...

also you get looooooads of foam at the start - make sure you leave it settled in a fridge for a minimum of 12 hours!

I'd comment if I knew how to write:oops:

Heineken is supposed to be half foam anyway, at least thats the excuse they give for selling you half a pint in Amsterdam :)
These are great fun at parties for firing beer into orifices.

Id reply to that, if i could read:?
#34
You chill it by getting a large bucket / eski / anything waterproof really and stand it in there with ice and a little water and wait, probably adding more ice along the way.

If you are really having a party and need draft beer in larger quantities, then suppliers can give you chillers which chill the beer as in a pub.
#35
for those of you moaning about foam, either learn to pour a pint properly or rinse the glass out with water before you pour.
#36
just asked in my local, the lady confirmed these were all sold off at half price a few weeks ago as they are being discontinued. May be worth checking other stores as you will probably find all asda stores are clearing them eventually.

Its the higher pressure at the start which causes all the foam, as it blasts out of the small nozzle. Nothing us 'moaners' can do about that. Just a poor product.

Most folks will be bouncing the things around like a baby in a hopper and then wonder why it foams up.
