Morrisons currently have Heinz Baked Beanz for only 23p a tin which is cheaper than their homebrand.
BTW, there's a limit of 12 per customer.

their own brand is probably better than Heinz tbh. Not like they used to be. Better than 50odd p a tin though I suppose.
#2
Their own brand is offer buy 3 pay for 2, works out about 20p a tin - and as said better than those oversweet and washed out Heinz Beans

Most people wud pick the brand over Morrison's own tho 2b fair...

That's the power of brainwashing, sorry advertising

I prefer the branston ones personally. 23p is actually better than the normal 8 for £2 they offer on the 4packs.

Not so hot as they are on offer at 5 for £1 in my local corner shop (also benefit of being enviro friendly for me as its literally 100 yards away! I can sneak out for fags and be back while the other half uses toilet and she is none the wiser!) which is part of a bigger syndicate (think happy shopper, best-one, nisa etc) and this is a chain offer with no limit, although I prefer branston ones too with plumper beans and a nicer sauce.
#6
dont you find morrisons own beans lack sauce?
#7
Is it just me or do some others find own brand food taste rank.

I tried a few home brand things just to try them to see how they compare but to me i can tell the difference a mile off ....you get what you pay for i think.

I would sooner pay extra and enjoy what im eating then make do.

I actually buy the Organic Heinz baked beans though but never seems to be an offer on these :(

I don't normally buy a lot of own brand foods...... but Morrisons own beans and sausage are delicious.....better than Heinz!
Was explaining to a little old lady in Morrisons yesterday about getting the bigger Heinz beans than the smaller one she was getting for 29p....... double the beans and 6p cheaper!

Does depend. For example Heinz tomato ketchup, no real substitute (Bramwells from Aldi comes damn close though). For other things its a bit of a hit and miss gamble. You can normally find alternatives to the big brand products that taste as good or better. The wifes got this thing about Heinz salad cream. Won't use anything else. I like the 46p huge bottle of Asda smartprice kak. Tastes good to me and has 12% fat compared to 30% in Heinz!

The granny, one mouthful tin eh? That's disgusting what they charge for those things:x

Heat added...

My partner will only eat Heinz beans. I usually pay £1.89 for 4 tins.
#13
Brainwashing? Maybe, but thats not always the case... As you were talking about sauce and that, some brands are superior than their own brand counterparts. Tesco value beer... tastes like ****.
#14
GOOD DEAL BUT THERE ARE NO MORRISONS IN N.I. :x

Well consider this. Own brand advertising budget ZERO. Heinz advertising budget...? It;s not the product you're really paying for, its the damn irritating advertising. As for tesco beer, yeah well it did come from tesco so no surprise there. Asda fanboy in da house  (can't have a thread on here without fanboys, just wouldn't be the same :roll:)

Voted hot & rep added, but could you add the store to the title - as said, not much use for NI users. :(

Some things are ok, but others are bloody horrible!
Morrisons custard creams - yum
Morrisons Oaties (hob nobs) - disgusting!! Seriously couldn't eat them, they just tasted absolutely rank.

I believe there's a thread at MSE where people compare homebrand stuff to the brand stuff, some people swear, or know for a fact, that some products are the same thing in different packaging.

Thanks, love Heinz beans - only way to go with beans, no other brand will do. End of.

Asda currently doing Heinz beans at 2x6 packs for £3- so may not be worth the trip to Morrisons for a 2p saving if Asda is nearer.

Haven't had Heinz for years so can't really compare but when the Branston ones are on offer i will always get them. They are far better than any other baked beans i have had. This is still a hot deal though. nearly 50% off.

Thanks for the tip :)

I think tesco have little cans of Branston on offer. Not sure about larger ones. Or was it Sainsburys... I knew there was a reason only to vist one supermarket per day...
