I bought a couple of these yesterday on spec - tried a tin for lunch - bland, very disappointing.
They do not compare favourably with the Lidl version (and they are not that special but at least they do have some flavour).
These have dropped dramatically in flavour and quality over the years like the Baked Beans. :-(

thats because they are healthier. Just stir in a teaspoon of sugar and add some salt and they'll be like you remember :thumbsup:

lidl food is far less health conscious hence you think it tastes better

Apart from that, what a rididulous and uninformed comment. I've seen some twoddle talked on here but that has to take the biscuit (Lidl or otherwise).

and yes, I have bought from lidl before and was astounded at how much salt / sugar is in most of their 'food' once I checked the labels at home.
