Voted cold cos formula is full of s***e, if anyone took the time to look into fomula you wouldn't give it to a dog never mind a newborn baby. Plus there is a ban on advertising of newborn formula (just like cigs)!! so this should be taken down. sorry:shock:

We all know that breast is best, but these formulas are tested and are a suitable alternative a great price if you do use this hot

Comments like this make those mums who for some reason or another cannot breastfeed feel really horrible.

I was lucky enough that all 3 of my children took to breastfeeding - this does not make me a better Mother than people who choose or have to formula feed.
It isn't full of rubbish as PP suggested!

I do have to agree that this is an unsuitable item to be advertised. Mothers who cannot, or choose not to, breastfeed should seek advice from their health professional as to the most appropriate product for their babies inividual needs.

Brilliant My wife has PCOS so when my son arrived 3 weeks ago she didnt produce any milk so is stuck with formula, and as others have said there is no discount allowed on newborn milk, so this is great..

To all the people who have been negative about this, please spare a thought for people like my wife who if they could would breast feed but due to a medical condition cannot. Rather than rubbish the only feeds available and make them feel like they are poisoning there children....

my wife was unable to breastfeed due so serious illness and it was never an option at alll and really upset her with our first child. health ppl r not allowed to recommend and brand of milk as well as no advertising etc and no discounts allowed which is pure discrimination and very unfair. voted hot as is a good deal.

hot this stuff costs a fortune

I'm a big breastfeeding advocate, and breastfed all of my children - but I don't believe that people who choose to, or have to formula feed, should be made to feel rubbish!
This is a good price :)

That would be more natural than getting milk from a strange animal that is a different species and atomically very different!

I don't think the breastfeeding debate is entirely relevant here. Parents can make their own choices for their own children, others should respect that without criticising.
Any further comments like this will be deleted, if you want to hold a discussion on breastfeeding then go ahead and start a thread in misc.

I still cant believe that people who CANT breastfeed are made to feel bad for doing it, I couldnt breatfeed, I wanted to but couldnt I didnt produce enough, I HAD to top it up with formula and felt guilty for doing so, people dont need to be made to feel worse than they do, I realised I had no choice and stopped feeling guilty, like others have said what choice do you have!? I wasnt lucky enough to have a wet nurse as I am sure most of us don't, I wouldnt feed my child a strangers milk.
And for those of you saying a strange Human milk is better, cows milk.... what exactly do you put in your tea or cereal then?!

Hot hot hot!!!

Thank you OP!

This is a really good deal. I am lucky and managed to beastfeed both my children until nearly a year old. For those who have medical conditions or try and fail then infant formula is brilliant. It is the best alternative - the only alternative and people shouldn't have to pay massive amounts just to feed their newborn.

Great deal H+R added!

Are the different brands of formula very different? My twins usually get Aptimel but as its just went up to £8.56 in Tesco I'm thinking I might go and get some of this.

BTW my twins are nine months.

I understand its a bad thing to switch brands. I'm just a Dad though so may be wrong :whistling: I'd say ask your health visitor/midwife about switching to make sure before you do it to be on safe side

How incredibly insensitive! I have a friend who's wife died during child birth and his only option at a traumatic time was to use formula. Given that you're clearly so 'well informed' i'm interested to know what your suggestion would be to him?

Can everyone just shut up about whether breast is best or not and focus on the deal. As with all other deals on this site if it's not for you just ignore it - don't criticise!

Having said that, I'm just a bloke, so what do I know!

+1.

If it was a horror dvd deal reduced from £8 to 69p then the heat would be through the roof, and I dont think there would be any comments like "Horror films can give you nightmares, dont buy it!" Vote on the deal, not wether you agree or disagree with it. Heat from me for value.
