Ok at 59p but - half price? Are they seriously suggesting we should pay £1.18 for a tin of soup?

Have you seen the RRP of a tin of Heinz normal flavour range soups? It's around the 90p mark. I buy the 4 packs of Tomato when I see them on offer for what amounts to 30p a tin and add a glug of chilli sauce myself.

Yet more of the same, employ some marketing guys to come up with some fancy branding and buzz words like "supercharged" then just add a pinch of spice to cream of tomato soup then double the price to pay for it.

The Sainburys own brand one is nicer and is often £1.50 for 4.

What I do is glub some fresh tomatoes into a pan with some oil, cook off the water, add stock, season, add chilli etc ..... (_;)

You've worked at the factory ! Wow great to have some insight from an industry professional. ;)

Just tried the mushroom one.. didn't meet my expectations. It wobbles a lot too. More like cellulite than jelly.

This is why I make my own soup most of the time. The fancy new Mushroom flavour is basically the same ingredients as the usual one, but with 12g of porcini mushroom (singular) added, since I doubt one mushroom weighs less than that, lol.

seen these in b&m, nice change from the usual Heinz bland stuff.

cant imagine why anyone would ever eat tinned soup.. regardless of price.

Was £1.18 !

You must be mad paying that for a tin of soup thats twice the price of normal soup because it has a black label.

No wonder these big companies continue to ripp us off if the dumb are willing to pay such ludicrous prices for a mundane product.

£1.18 for mass produced factory soup :D Mugs :(

Hot, thanks for share

Decent price and heat added, but really there is nothing much special about these special editions, and no good reason for them to be priced any higher than other Heinz soups.
