Are these not rubbish hoovers, I remember all the schools had them though.

They are not rubbish, they are hard wearing tough as nails vacuums that are great for DIY mess etc, not particularly good at a typical home carpet though due to lack of powered beater brush.

These are brilliant hoovers, had mine for 10 yrs plus and still going strong, Heat and rep added.

This is the most useless vacuum cleaner I've ever had for the home...they keep falling over when you pull them and they're not too good on carpets!

...get a dyson instead!

Seek help, quickly. :p

There's a reason that whenever you see a vacuum cleaner used by a professional it's likely to be a Henry. Insanely reliable, nicely powerful, and extremely simple. I bought one recently to replace a cyclone vacuum that died as its warranty expired (typical) and there's no way I'd take a Dyson over this (even if Dysons weren't over double the price).

Great deal, voted hot etc.

Fantastic hoover, I have one (plus a carpet cleaner from the same company), very hardwearing. Voted hot.

Sorry but I don't believe you have ever owned one. As to suggesting a Dyson as an alternative, well I accuse you of trolling Sir!

Yes Henrys are all those things and perfect for work environments and offices, but the lack of a powered beater brush is a handicap on thicker domestic carpets.

Henry's are the best value hoover by far, got student houses and this is the only hoover provided as the rest just break...been through a few different types. i would never touch dyson again, they are awfull.even the the repair guy at theelectrics shop said they sell about 5 belts a day as they always break on the dyson.

As others have said, these are probably the best VFM tub vacs you can buy..

You can buy a powered "turbo" brush head, that gives you beater bar functionality:

Excellent, that's what I needed, seems to cost as much as the Henry itself though :x

I am trying to get one.

You can get a Henry Hound if you need a power brush. It comes with odor filter and an electric rotating brush for dog and cat hair. Henry are one of the best vacuum cleaners ever made and people who say otherwise have probably never used one.

I have a Henry, and it has its place and does something exceptionally well but its not perfect. Some do prefer a pull along vacuum cleaner to an upright, I'm not one of them.

Henry hound is upwards of £180. I will be looking for the power head or a hound at a decent price.

Obviously it goes without saying that the Henry in this dela is without electric beater head and so is at a disadvantage on thicker domestic carpets.

Good deal for a Henry if that's what you're after, I'm firmly in the Dyson camp. Industrial quality isn't an issue for my Semi detached house with an even mix of hard and soft flooring.

Can get the same deal from Marshall Ward
#23
Probably the best vacuum cleaner in the world

You can use a voucher code ZQ108 to get £10 off and in addition if you use quidco, you may get 6% back of total.;-)
